It’s way better then BFA already that’s for sure.
I believe the problem is that Blizzard is incredibly wasteful with its lore and doesn’t explore it enough, preferring rather to squeeze it out quick, throw it out and do something else.
Final Fantasy XIV from the very beginning and ongoing to this day has us fighting the Garlean Empire, an ongoing theme across all expansions. There is a huge wealth of interesting factions across Azeroth that Blizz chooses to resolve very quickly. Queen Azshara for example, a massive figure that could have provided the crux to an entire expansion instead is taken out unceremoniously in a single patch. There could have been a ton to explore there.
I’m having a great time. Fire the voice actor for Bonesmith Heirmir though. 
It really saddens me that my OP was flagged by some people here as trolling even though I clearly said I was being completely honest and should not have even had to of said that but thankfully a few hours later a mod restored it after realizing the obvious that I wasn’t trolling. It is a real shame that you’re just assumed as being a troll here when you say almost anything good about the game as if you’re supposed to only say negative things about WoW now. Well, quite the opposite for me. I am truly loving every moment of Shadowlands and will continue to praise it.

Also there’s a weird culture in the forum where if people say they don’t like the expansion “you are negative” and if you like it “you are positive”.
