Update no confirmation, but early datamining of Season of Discovery on 11/10/23 includes a glyph for gladiators to come back to warrior.

With class features coming back in Shadowlands, I would really like to get gladiator back for warrior. Anybody else? I miss the gameplay and made my warrior during WoD specifically for that reason

, but we’re constantly being told to speak up in forums and on other Blizzard platforms, so this is me attempting to do so. If we can get enough people behind this, it will either draw their attention back to it, or become the class equivalent of high elves.

100% want it back there was a huge petition that got like 100k sigs blizz ignored but lets shout about it also want Single minded fury back too please maybe even having a tank spec for single minded fury heck you can somewhat pull it off in classic why not retail

Very tiny itsy bitsy slightly surprised that it wasn’t announced in the deep dive for classes. It would have at least softened a tiny bit of the negative feedback from not having any new classes or specs. Especially with this apparently new mindset they’re going with. I know it’s not as easy as copy&pasting the WoD talent into a forth spec. But, most of the creative work is already done. With them going back to making it about the classes rather than the specs, they also didn’t need to come up with any new mechanics or anything.
Really want a sword and board DPS. I have two Warriors that I’ve been leveling through Legion and BfA pretty much for the sole purpose of being Gladiator in case they ever brought it back. I don’t really have much hope for it, though.

I would like it back but I am also interested to know what Warriors are getting back overall. I mean if Paladins got Auras will we be getting our full stance bar back?

Remember when blizzard wrote an essay on why they were removing fistweaving in Legion? And in that essay they casually mentioned gladiator stance was going for the same reasons even though they were nothing alike. You couldn’t tank while in gladiator, you were marked as a dps in the game. You couldn’t swap stances in combat as well. You were still a healer healing people when fistweaving and you could change from fistweaving to regular healing in combat.
Then blizzard said they weren’t removing fistweaving and instead changed it a bit. Meanwhile they scrapped gladiator stance.
This is why I have trust issues with blizzard. They heard the outcry from monks so they back tracked while ignoring the outcry from warriors. Blizzard seems to ignore warriors for no reason these days.

Arms getting shield block will be a gladiator no?
No it will not, unless they make a warrior wielding a Sword and Board do the same damage as a 2-Hander or Dual Wielding.
The Shield Block change will most likely behave like the Vanilla/Classic Shield Block where you will have to macro equip a shield and cast Shield Block then macro switch back to your primary weapon(s).
The Shield Block change will be for defensive purposes and not a Faux-Glad Stance.

Gladiator stance back in WoD changed shield block to shield charge, a completely different spell.
Shield block is shield block.
Honestly I am confused as to why blizzard is bringing back shield block for arms and fury.

And what did shield charge do?? Worked as a functional dps Cooldown allowing a prot to do dps dmg while forgoing his threat and defenses.
Furthermore classic iteration of this requires stances…so maybe stances will come back

I loved my glad stance in WOD. Nothing would make me happier than giving it back. If you want to make it a visually different (one of the excuses) make it a 2h / shield combo. As for survivability, i hit the dirt just as fast as in fury… please give it back…

OG Glad stance please don’t swapin bs and do single minded fury again with tank option same way glad stance worked take a talent that makes fury tanky with more threat gen or something give us options blizz
