Shadowlands Dungeons Suck

SL dungeons don’t do it for me. Not sure what it is, but I’m leaning towards it being because all the enemy NPCs are just not being very fun, and just not very satisfying to kill.

I miss the giant permastun sunflowers and blood trolls in underrot.

I miss the pirates in freehold and lady ashvanes voiceovers in SoB. Everything about these two dungeons was awesome.

I miss Rezan

The Sethrak

Waycrest Manor

THE FREAKIN MOTHERLODE

I even miss Kings Rest

* The Necrotic Wake
* Plaguefall
* Mists of Tirna Scithe
* Halls of Atonement
* Theater of Pain
* De Other Side
* Spires of Ascension
* Sanguine Depths[/quote]

I feel nothing for these dungeons or any of the NPCs in them. No attachment whatsoever. Professor Plague? Nalthor the Rimebinder? Ok…it does nothing for me. This is where I’m going to spend the majority of my time in shadowlands for the next year or two. It’s kinda a worrying thought. Anyone else?

Still hopeful that they grow on me, but I’m the meantime I find myself repeatedly running plaguefall because Domina Venomblade and Margrave Stradama are the only bosses with the gravitas to keep me coming back begging for more

I can’t say that I had any personal attachments to dungeons in BFA either.

I learned the mechanics and enjoyed them and now I’m doing the same in SL.

I guess Wrath was probably the last time I actually cared about dungeon characters/stories

I loved the dungeons in BfA (except Tol Dagor…that place needs to sink into the sea and go away forever). But I loved them.

I don’t love the dungeons in SL, yet. I mean, they’re nice. They’re challenging enough. But I’m with you, OP. I don’t love them.

I hope M+ changes my mind and familiarity makes me like them. So far, however, I’m pretty “meh” on them.

I do love Theatre of Pain. I loved it the first time I went in there, and I still love it. It’s tough. It’s got flavor. There is character there, and the boss fights are unique. It’s the only dungeon in SL that I got even a little bit excited about.

I like the dungeons a lot more in Shadowlands.

I hated the motherlode. One of the worst dungeons they’ve made

I feel the opposite. BFA dungeons weren’t great at all but I’m loving all the SL dungeons.

I like the dungeons in SL. Just wish mythic plus was worth doing.

My only problem is that they all seem to follow the same structure/design, in that the front half of the dungeon is loaded with trash mobs, and the back half is relatively short by comparison. There are a handful of dungeons where the last two bosses are pretty much back to back. It makes the front half of those dungeons feel much more tedious as a result.

I really like Theatre of Pain and Spires of Ascension : )

Plaguefall is not visually appealing to me and the boss fights are not interesting, so I probably won’t do that one again.

Both of the vampire ones are kind of cool. I like the last boss in Halls of Atonement.

I really enjoy Mists, De Other Side, Spires and Theatre of Pain. I don’t get all jazzed up over the story, but I have fun running them. Necrotic and Plaguefall are probably the one 2 I avoid.

halls of atonement is probably my favorite dungeon in a very long time.
DoS and mists are great as well (but thats not an uncommon opinion)
TOP is good as well.

the only one that I “don’t” like so far is sanguine depths, the other 3 (spires, necrotic, plaguefall) might not be my favorites, but each of them has at least 1 boss that I really enjoy.

I like the new dungeons but I don’t think I like how the average person throws fits every time something doesn’t go well inside of one of them.

I miss the music in Workshop, made boss fights fun.

Plaguefall is the only one i truly despise.

Bfa KR/tol dagor/under rot were all terrible for one reason or another

Edit oh yea motherlode trash density was terrible
