They never pulled it in the first place. It’s something players on the forums are still salty about.

So was it delayed? I thought the prepatch was supposed to be in September but it looks like October now.

For eons of Wow now:
Release date is release date, doesn’t matter if unplayable buggy mess.
A beta that can be played AT ALL, means that they would even release that (most of the time the release client is quite a bit ahead of what even we “mass beta test”, though.)
It is in a playable state now, just like Warcraft 3 Refunded was. As longs as it is playable they will launch it. In their mind pushing out an unfinished product is better than holding it back until it is actually finished.
Stop spreading fake news for the sake of drama without a source. Its fishing.

This statement is so untrue. I believe the news is out that it is delayed. Nothing is set in stone in gaming.
From what I’ve heard the expansion is delayed with no definite release date. No sauce, but the countdown timer on the expansion webpage has been removed. Not surprised this happened considering the issues with balancing specs and covenants AND the colossal headache that Conduits are shaping up to be. Throw in some VERY last minute significant class overhauls (Shadow Priest) and the fact that the Maw is clearly not finished and there was a recipe for disaster.
On the bright side I have been told that the Pre-Patch is coming out on the 13th, so, something to look forward to.
