Is there a point to doing all of the covenants on 1 character? Campaign etc? Do you keep your mounts, titles etc?
Yes to the mounts. The titles tho are special and you can’t just gather all of those. If you want a certain title. You gotta be at the renown level and stay there.
That’s what I figured, just wanted some clarification - Thanks!
Also for the many cool mogs
I liked the mogs enough that I did all four covenants with plate, mail, cloth and leather alts for each one, so four alts per covenant to get all the mogs. I enjoyed it. Glad the mounts were account wide though.
I wish the friends I made in maldraxxus could come with me outside of the shadowlands. I don’t even need them to fight. I just liked having them around. Roseboil and I had some great banter.
There’s some advantage to doing it all on one character - you need Death’s Advance rep to get some stuff, and fully building up all the Covenant upgrades in one of them will ramp up anima acquisition while you’re in that Cov, allowing you to build it up and transfer it over to the others when you’re ready.
If you’re trying to collect everything, you’re in for quite a journey friend lol. The amount of anima needed is somewhere in the millions.
Transmog.
And you gotta do it for each armor type…
I’m doing this now, and it is a bit much after the fact, while running current world content as well. I only have the Maldraxxus cloth renown set finished, and partials on all of the rest.
80 renown lets you keep them.
Man, I just decided to give up on some korthia mogs from the dailies, another thread had to pop up about it. Ugh I really dont wanna do the cov stories like 9 times each.
This is my only worry…
Can Anima be farmed “Aimlessly”? IE: Torghast?
Yeah, once you unlock the bonus stage at the end (about halfway through the box thing) you can get like 500ish anima from a 16 Torghast.
The mathematically “best” way for farming anima is by killing rares in Zereth Mortis, but that does have an element of luck since it relies getting to them before someone else kills them. It may be a bit less painful once Dragonriding is available there in 10.2.5
Torghast is definitely slower, but it’s more reliable and could be more entertaining, especially if you still have collectibles to unlock in there.
Shadowlands was advertized from day one as an alt friendly expansion. I leveled several alts and had each of the covenants covered.
The abscence of Fly trap is pain.
Ah see that I didn’t know
Tons, absolutely tons to unlock in Torghast. I went through ZM yesterday and got everything done there as far as unlocking flying and quests.
I’m having fun doing the other covenants. I was Venthyr from SL but just yesterday decided to do the Necrolord stuff, and it’s pretty fun getting lots of new mogs and mounts. Good times.
Definitely make sure all of your anima goes into fully upgrading every Covenant feature to 3 in at least one Covenant. That’ll give you a big boost to anima gains (and grateful offerings as well, which you’ll also need for a lot of vendor items).
Insanity that Blizz required running 16 campaigns for all the mogs (4x4).
