Shadowlands Covenants in Dragonflight

I stopped playing Shadowlands just over a year ago. I’d like to go back and finish out my covenant, but I see no way of tracking where I am or even if I can still progress in it. Is this possible? The Dragon Isles Summary icon has replaced the Shadowlands one, obviously that makes sense.

Go to shadowlands

Been there, nothing changes. I thought maybe I needed to switch my Chromie time to Shadowlands but when I talk to Chromie on my main (lvl 62) I no longer have options to change timelines.

You get booted out of Chromie at 60. As you know you lose the tracker by the mini map once you went to the Isles.

Thanks, I was just reading that Chromie is only for leveling, which makes sense. Can’t figure out how to track my old covenants, I can’t see why we wouldnt be able to continue them. Maybe I’m forgetting an alternate way to view them. Was there a NPC I could talk to, to see them? Or was it only visible from the map icon?

I’m not sure if there is. There’s always the phone app but all you could track there is the mission table. Oh you can check the callings too and see what WQs and rewards are in the zones.

Ok, ill try that out. Much appreciated!

What exactly are you trying to track? Quests? If you have a covenant quest, it’ll be in your log and show you how many chapters.

Aha! I found it. There is an NPC, Keeper of Renown, I can click on it and see.

I can relax now.

Thallia, I was trying to track my Renown with my SL covenant. In my case Night Fae.

Oh… got it. I’ll bookmark this in case anyone else has any issues.

For my own knowledge where is this NPC?

Gallows. For Night Fae the Keeper of Renown is right in the Heart of the Forest. NPC name is Laurel. I assume there is one in each zone at the man hub.

Thank you. I’ll have to check it.

I just tried four alts in SL to see what would happen. I tried my Level 61 Main in DF, a Level 60 alt that had done the latest pre-patch, a 60/80 alt who is still in Bastion but did not do the pre-patch and a level 55 alt I’m leveling.

I had started the SL storyline with my 55 alt. I left there and went to Outland to continue leveling. Just now I went back, went to the place in the opening Bastion quest where I left off and was able to pick up the next quest with the [!].

Then I tried the rest. When I took the Level 61 which was just starting Dragon Flying back to Bastion I only saw the DF icon on the mini map but I was able to pick up quests from my covenant in Bastion.

All the rest are still showing the SL icon which I can click to see my progress in SL.

So the question is, did you actually start the DF quest? If not you should still be able to see the SL quest information and if you go to where you left off you should be able to pick up the quest.

Thanks Tiffany. I can do the quests. I believe initially today I was trying to find where I can track my renown. I hadn’t focused on whether I could keep questing. Once I found the Keeper, I picked up some quests and I picked up 4 more levels.

I had started the DF quests before looking into this. Once you start DF you can go back and continue where you left off. The only difference is they removed the mini map icon and you have to go to the zone and find the keeper to track renown.

IF anyone can actually find a way to see the old cov/garrison/mission tables from the DF icon like before I’d really like to know. (Yes, I know I can use the exceptionally slow phone app or wowhead today)

It used to be that you could go to said icon and it offered a drop down menu - giving you a choice to view all your “old” mission tables. At least to me this is vaulable becuase you can see things like “did I pick up a follower from my garrison inn this week?” to collect them all takes years so its still something I’m working on. On the days when three cov callings line up there are alts I’d probably still do those on as well - but I cannot seem to find any way other than run around the building to pick up the quests to track this anymore.

If anyone knows how we can “show” those old options like before i’d love to know- otherwise its going to be petition the Dev’s for it back :frowning: as I’m sure I’m not the only player who still does old things from time to time - especially as the xp progresses.

Also just fyi In case you missed it there is another big change for alts who had not started shadowlands - threads of fate is gone. No more pick your route you’re back to grinding the whole set route all over again.

Actually, I not only used the mini map button to keep track of my mission table quests but also the Covenant Training quest from Lord Herne. If you know the order the 3 main Covenant quests are given, you can figure out the time left to complete. The mini map button not only told you the order, it also told you the actual time left. I have recently noticed that time left to complete info is not available under the Quests list that you find under the mini map. I don’t think it has ever been available from the quest log. Now it is no longer available from the Covenant tab on the mini map. You don’t get that info when the quest is given to you. You don’t really know if you are picking it up on the first day or the third; especially when there are three available at the same time like there was for me today. You always knew both of those with the mini map button. If you are leveling in Dragon Isles and don’t remember to check your covenant or your covenant map every day, how can you get that information?

It might not seem important to Blizzard , but I used the Covenant button to find out how much time I have left for the Covenant Training quest when it is available. When the training quest is available, I visit my covenant to see which Trainee it is. When it is the special Trainee each covenant has, I want to do that quest to see what items the Trainee drops. Almost all the drops are extremely beneficial, but I always hope there will be any of the Attendant’s Pocket Portals dropped. You have up to 3 days to farm the portals for quick, free travel to Oribos or any of the Covenants; depending on how much time is left to do the quest. There are no restrictions so, to date, no matter where I am I can travel using the pocket portal. This is beneficial to me, especially since I can use them from my Draenor Garrison.

I hearth to my garrison a lot since I no longer have my hearth set at my covenant which gives me a quick hop to Stormwind and other places. My garrison means a short trip between visiting my banks/storage, my Auction House, sell things to empty my bags, and even repair if I don’t mind missing the discount. It minimizes the time it takes to clear bags and get back to it. If I want, I can still pick up a quick gold from doing the daily at my Alchemy building and pick up old ore or herbs for alts leveling professions or to sell, and I always go there every 15 days when Squirt is the visiting trainer at the Menagerie so that I can easily keep all my pets at level 25.

A quick portal to Shadowlands from there lets me go anywhere I need to go.

How can I find out that information now without my mini map button?

There is Altoholic, an addon by Thaoky, which has the information you might be looking for. When it is loaded use the Grids tab on the bottom of the interface. From there choose Quests then Emissary Quests then Shadowlands. Mousing over the emissary quests will show the time left.

Under the Summary tab on the bottom of the interface you can choose Expansion Features, Shadowlands, then all your stats for the Covenants are listed there.

The addon Master Plan will let you right click the DF icon to select any past expansion’s information.
