I just got the Mythic cloth waist for Shadowlands dungeons and converted it in the creation catalyst only to get the LFR recolor instead of the mythic. It has always given the Mythic recolor for Mythic dungeons so I am unsure if the latest update with the Dragonflight catalyst messed it up, but it gave me the wrong recolor.
Also I had a back piece I converted with the catalyst before in early DF and it never gave me the appearance either (even after equipping it and restoring it once I realize it didn’t give me the transmog.)
Anybody else having this issue?
I’m having this same problem in a way with Conquest PvP gear not giving me any mog from Aberrus. I cannot find a solution for why this is happening. I’m thinking and hopeful it’s just a bug that needs fixed. Hopefully you found resolution too! Definitely upsetting and wishing you could find out what piece it’ll come out to be more easily through catalyst.

Still doesn’t give the correct recolor (Mythic) even after they updated the catalyst for Shadowlands season 4 gear…
So I found it has to do with Veteran and Champion gear I think Champion is above Veteran? Anyways that gear above Veteran I believe when maxed up more so will give you the mythic tint, you may have to look into it. It’s super odd and not very simple to casuals who just want the set pieces for transmog purposes imo. They need to make it simple.
Oh I am talking about the Shadowlands sets! The mythic difficulty pieces convert into the LFR recolor, which they didn’t do until Dragonflight season 2. I wish they would fix it because I won’t be able to solo mythic raids for Shadowlands for a while.
The low ilvl mythic pieces turning into mythic raid set pieces in the catalyst was most likely a bug that lasted so long it seemed like a feature. I recall it was even advertised on Reddit since it was not at all how it worked previously in Shadowlands. I think the bug might have been related to most SL dungeons not being available in the dungeon pool in season 4 and something glitched with how the non-upgradeable loot from m0 was categorized.
Editing to add: you can get all mythic sanctum of domination sets using the white legendary bases from Shadowlands.
Yeah unfortunately I am trying to get the sepulcher pieces, I got the sanctum as soon as I heard the legendary base pieces would be moggable.
