Imagine this scenario. Short term, retail desperately needs BC remastered to succeed financially to boost operating margins for Blizzard Ent. Otherwise, Blizzard will need to reduce expenses and/or put out more (cheap) mobile in future. We know they know how to cut expenses but who knows if they can do mobile reliably.

Are there issues that can be fixed? Sure but it isnât as ridonkulously over the top horrible the hyperbole and rebel sequel soapbox threads on the forums makes it out to be.

Dude. I posted a forum post in EQ2 forums in february and itâs still on the front page.
EQ2 is officially pretty much dead, outside of the hardcore raiders that pay obscene amounts of money to keep it running. They arenât posting in forums. They send direct messages to devs.
Did you even play Shadow of Luclin? You cant even do DUNGEONS without the upgraded $150 collectors edition mount and bonuses, so what are these lies? EQ2 developer that plays WOW? Is that more or less ironic.
I mean, I know you donât but thatâs no reason to put yourself down. When Classic was announced they literally hired people for the purpose of working on and releasing Classic WoW.
This is also blizzard, go look at their job openings on their site.

They literally have listings for specific games. The developers on Overwatch are not working on Diablo. Each game has their own team. And I mean come on⌠The Classic team literally has itâs own lead producer, Holly Longdale. Two different teams because retail and Classic/BC Classic are no where near the same game.
Iâm thrilled. Retail is garbage. Now, at least, I get some value out of my subscription.

I suspect that there are more than a few people who sub ONLY to post on the forums.

Sheâs not a developer. Sheâs the Lead Producer of both Classic games.
You chose literally one of the only jobs that still encompasses multiple games but MAY NOT touch on retail because her workload is single handedly the most massive of any developerâŚ

I for one believe the blizzard picked a terrible time to put out shadowlands that is so time-gated and boring not enough content to fill the time that people have right now because of covid. I believe the original formula they had with wow classic was what they should have stuck with All of the grindiness to level up professions weapons skills etc etc. It would have kept everybody interested longer and maybe they wouldnât be purging game subscriptions at a rapid rate and maybe they wouldnât have had to lay off so many employees
Oh absolutely, but be honest here, compared to retail thereâs just not much work to do. The only reason OP feels like theyâre putting more money into TBC is because itâs coming out soon. Weâll get the hype for 9.1 when it drops on PTR.

Because that developer is two separate people working on two separate projects because they work for separate teams.
I mean seriously, they literally have a team for classic. They hired people specifically for classic.
Because they are both being worked on by the same team. Or well thatâs not quite accurate. Classic is being managed by them while Burning Crusade Classic is being worked on them. Classic doesnât need anything more than maintenance to keep it running. It requires no development at this stage.
Burning Crusade Classic does need some development to make sure the old data works with the updated code and any visual discrepancies are fixes as well as any unexpected bugs. They donât need a massive team or anywhere near what they would need for retail.
This is just you trying to come up with some kind of excuse for why the game is bad and as far as excuses go, this one falls flat.
Nâzoth was at the end of BfAâŚyou canât compare the two expansions at that point.
