Shadowlands Benched for TBC

Thankfully your job isn’t a marketing promoter, cause nothing is going to sell this hot garbage lol

A team that hasn’t done much at that, amirite?

I mean it’s pretty simple.

BFA first content patch was released 4 months after it went live on PTR. This pattern is consistent through patches in previous expansions as well.

Classic Beta Started mid May and Released August. 2.5 months of Beta testing.

SL 9.1 has not released on PTR yet.

TBC Beta has started.

So if Beta takes 2.5 months and a major content patch takes 4 months of testing before release…

And Beta has started but the prepatch hasnt even begun testing yet.

Plus massive layoffs.

How many apples does sally have?

There is this unshakeable sense as the clock ticks on SL that Blizz is going to stretch out content well past the breaking point throughout this expansion. Keeping me engaged means pumping out new content as it’s consumed. And that’s not happening from my admittedly narrow perspective. Having TBC classic development ongoing even in parallel doesn’t help with that.

Don’t worry, they upped anime drops!

IKR? Just what we needed, more anima for… stuff!

And then people will find out that TBC wasn’t as good as they remember once the nostalgia trip goes away.

Just like classic, TBC raids are going to be downed easily & it doesn’t even matter if they leave all the bosses in the pre-nerf phase. There’s what? 12 years of data & private servers that were dedicated to just TBC(Like Toxic WoW servers if any one remembers that private server group) so people already know what to min/max.

I’m still going to play it because TBC was my favorite “era” of PvP, but god I’m not looking forward to the boring trash that is Outland & Outland questing. TBC will be popular though & a breath of “fresh” air, perhaps I can get some of my old guild to start playing again.

I believe it’ll be just like classic, but I think(don’t quote me on this) there’s going to be a “premium” thing with it? A cash shop or promotional mount for TBC has been datamined so yeah. the cash shop will most likely be in TBC. They’ll double dip(with cash shop items) because they know people have no self control when it comes to buying in game things with irl money, but I think if you’re already subbed you’ll be the game for free.

There is some attraction to me to try TBC again given that I loved the expansion but the guild situation went from good to bad and I never got to Sunwell Plateau.

On the other hand, nostalgia is rarely a trip worth taking, so yes, I’d prefer a bit more work on the current product.

I dunno I think from an internal perspective, someone who blindly praises you regardless of what you do, even if you literally contradict yourself every time you do something, they still fail to see any contradictions, instead, formulate entire dissertations to the contrary…

I think they at least qualify for some “Honorary” Marketing Promoter title.

Maybe give them MVP with special colored text on the forums or something, so everyone knows how much more relevant their opinions are than anyone elses.

I believe that’s why you see so many white knights. They are awaiting their promotion to green text, to stand out above the rest!

They are truly MMOs. Blizzard had a vision for the PvE end game and wasn’t trying to cater to casual solo players or the eSports crowd.

SystemLands has a lot of what feels like complexity for complexity’s sake. Somehow they missed the mark a bit on fun. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t consider Torghast a chore, or who is excited about running WQ for anima to unlock their covenant.

It’s extremely disingenuous to compare PTR cycles between Classic and Retail. They’re two completely different reasons to have things on the PTR.

Ya that is what irritates me the most … look at the map of WoTLK and see SL . How did we go backwards in 10 years …

Uhm. I literally compared PTR cycles in retail with PTR cycles on retail and BETA cycles in classic with BETA cycles in classic.

Read again slowly, this time without rage vein forehead protusions, and you will see.

You should have known that SL was going to be completely timegated. That is on you. Look at BFA for an example of the direction of this game.

So are we just making stuff up now to fit the narrative you’re trying to push?

I liked the BfA zones better.

Omg, we are living in a time where people are starting to miss BfA!

I really don’t think that they have benched Shadowlands for TBC classic. There are teams of people still employed working behind the scenes. Or at least that is what I understand is going on.
People need to remember we’re still dealing with a pandemic. There other games who have also suffered in their releases and or content. Now I’m not being a cheer leader for Activision/Blizzard just stating based on what I have read and seen so far.
Even I have been disillusioned by how things are going with this expansion.

How is using facts evidenced in reality to formulate a theory considered making stuff up?

By that sense we can pretty much throw our entire scientific understanding of the universe out the window.

HOW DO WE KNOW THE SUN IS MADE OF GAS? DID IT PUT OUT A PRESS RELEASE CONFIRMING IT?
