Shadowlands "Bare Minimum" Demon Skin Request

If we can’t have brand new demons added in Shadowlands (for whatever reason) could we please get the existing demon types to randomly be assigned a skin based on archetype, similar to how the name is decided? For instance, if I decided to get rid of my Felhound and summon another, give it a random chance to be gray, black, or red. Have the Succubus randomly pick between pink, purple, or gray. Have the Felguard pick between red, orange, or whatever other colors are available and roughly the same model. I don’t think that any of the baseline demons are lacking a variety of skin colors in the game files. Introducing this system would at least make it feel like you had your own demon bound to your service and it was different from everyone else’s demons.

I would have suggested glyphs to change the demon colors, but then I fear they’d just remove them in a future expansion and we’d be back to the default skins. I’d much rather they just add a random component to assigning demons in the first place.

It’s seem like glyphs overall are slowly being phased out of inscription…have to wonder if cosmetic micro transactions are coming down the road instead

Eh, lore prevents this. We have contracts with the demons we are summoning.

Where’s your contract when you tell the Trainer you want to summon another demon, toss the one you have into the Twisting Nether, and pull another one with a different name out of nowhere? Gameplay > Lore.

… It’s a new contract lol

The point is we are summoning demons with specific names, with a specific identity.

Our Wrathguards are former Eredar of Argus, for example. We’re not just randomly pulling things out of the Nether like a magic hat lol

Plus why ask for scraps?

We should get a Demon Stables mechanism via a “grimoire”.

So why can’t I have a contract with an orange colored Felguard? Why do the NPC’s walking through my Legion Order Hall have cooler demons than I can summon?

I would just settle for scraps because for several expansions now, they won’t even give us that. :stuck_out_tongue:

It took 8 years to get Green Fire!! We actually haven’t even thought about Demon Stables before.

So it took 8 years to change the RGB numbers of some spell effects, and a few icons. At that rate, Warlocks should have Demon Stables by 2040.

It seems like in the most recent expansions, Warlocks have consistently lost far more than they’ve gained.
