yeah i mean i understand but this means they have to have large support staff working over thanksgiving. and considering how hard this year has been it’s really in poor taste to do so. a few more weeks wait would have been fine.
they could have just started the event sooner, as it stands now it’s only going to be active for 13 days…

Because if you aren’t racing Limit it really doesn’t matter.
And Limit is the only US guild in the race. Other counties don’t care about Thanksgiving.

Cata released Dec 7 as well, Blizzard has never really cared about the holidays that much, they just don’t release right before xmas.

I think it’s awesome when people say “old Blizzard wouldn’t do this” when it’s literally within 1 day of the original games launch date.
Wrath, Cata, and WoD all launched in Nov/Dec too.
Of course they know what they’re doing, this isn’t their first rodeo. They’re being forced by the suits to push out a product before it’s ready in order to keep the stocks up, despite the game not being ready.
There is not a snowflakes chance in hell that Shadowlands will be ready by this time. I’m actually blown away that it’s coming out before mid December, I was honestly thinking it was going to be a January release.
The amount of problems the beta has currently is staggering.
November/December have always been huge release times for games across all platforms. Look at xbox, ps games, etc… The fall in general is a big time for releases.
Hell, for the US is the same day lol.

Dont worry paladins are actual wards of the state when it comes to trying to fight mages.
That’s been a bug in the game for years, and usually happens if you release spirit while people are still in combat.

I personally don’t mind it being this date, This is the first expansion i’m not really hyped up for, BFA kinda scarred my experience and fun towards WoW and ontop of that it’s been a pretty stressful year since this virus is sweeping over the U.S. I’ll just continue playing an alt and classic on the side in the mean time until release
I start cooking for 14 people on Wednesday and cook all day on Thursday. Friday is usually my rest day.
It is not just one day, it is not just one person. It is whole families getting together, it is people on planes and In cars traveling, it’s poor retail employees unable to get time off work. I cannot think of a worse decision for the goodwill of the player base. It isn’t even a good business decision.
They then compound this by having the raid launch over the holidays. Every player I know wants it after January.
Same I seriously hope we get a new delay date…
They have… 24 Days to fix how many bugs and other major issues?
