What changes could make Beast Mastery(as seen on alpha so far) more interesting/engaging?
In terms of it’s core, I would say that it does not need a whole lot. At least no massive changes…
As per the title, A Murder of Crows is currently a talent for all 3 specs.
My wish is that it can become a baseline signature ability for Beast Mastery.
It can stay as a talent for the other specs if so desired.
The thing about it for Beast Mastery, is that it can be more than what it currently is. (That being a 15 sec DoT on a 1min CD)
2 ways to make it more interesting/engaging as a core function could be as follows:
(1) Like I wrote in my main feedback post on BM the other day
#[Shadowlands and Hunter] Thoughts on General changes + Beast Mastery
We could get it as it works now but as a baseline ability, with the addition of allowing for every Kill Command to extend it’s duration by a few seconds if used against the enemy currently affected by A Murder of Crows.
Or…
(2) A Murder of Crows baseline. And, for every second spent attacking an enemy affected by A Murder of Crows, your global cooldown(GCD) is lowered by 0.1sec and you passively generate 1 more focus-per-second. Stacking up to 5 times.
This effect lasts up to 5 seconds after A Murder of Crows has fallen off or you’re no longer attacking the target, or if that enemy target has died.
Thoughts?
Like I said, Beast Mastery doesn’t need a whole lot more baseline. But it still lacks something.
And currently, I really doubt the addition of Hunter’s Mark or even Kill Shot will do much to improve this feeling.
(Arcane Shot is there as well but currently isn’t something we want to use over Cobra Shot as BM).
