I was late to the game of crafting and have literally 50-60 rank 190’s 210’s etc i can’t bloody give away let alone sell!!! could we please get away to deconstruct them get SOME mats back to help in keeping the crafting/farming cost down IK there are a heap of players currently in this boat… yes the LEGGO scrapper etc is nice but this is needed more than that have what use to be worth 1000’s of gold of gear that now completely worthless and can’t do anything with it

Definitely agree that right now crafters can get the shaft here. You can spend anywhere from 500k-1Mil gold on some of the lower pop servers just to get to rank 4, then you can’t sell any of the rank1-2’s, rank 3’s and 4’s you usually take a loss on, and people balk if you try to recoup the costs on the rank 5 and 6’s. It’s a no win situation on some servers. I ranked up the Grim-veiled cloak and had to just destroy the rank 1’s and rank 2’s cause they sold for 2g (rank1) and 50g (rank2) on the AH, so not even worth listing them. Tried giving them away in chat for a few days with 0 interest.
Having some way of either being able to vendor them for the orboreal shard/luminous flux/thread vendor costs at a minimum or get back some of the farmed materials would be great and wouldn’t make crafting feel so bad.

This is 100% needed, I was about to come onto here and suggest the same thing. I have so many of these things just sitting in my bank unable to sell a single one of them. Being able to scrap these into some of the mats used to make the base items is 100% needed, why they didn’t think this would happen is beyond me, saw this coming a mile away.
Please Blizzard add this to the game, we can’t do anything with these pieces and would like the grind to rank 4 to just be a bit easier this late into the expansion.

Completely agree with this sentiment. I had suggested the same thing the other day on the general forums (which was probably the wrong place to do that) a partial refund on the mats is the answer.
