The shadowflame rune need a big damage buff and off course slow to be usable
I thought wars got hosed too. While it’s great to get awesome upgrades each phase, there’s a few more phases. It’s entirely possible next phase you get the best rune out of every one in p3.
My personal take on biggest loser 2nd phase is mages. There 1000% should’ve been a book in SM GY that reduced Evocation to 3 minutes. Drinking mana for 1 minute while wars and rogues clear stuff ahead of you is more antiquated than EverQuest.
It’s worse than the pvp trinkets on use. Only shadow and flame, and demonic knowledge are good, and that’s ton every spec.
Lol, you’re on living flame where the players are genuinely terrible. Try facing a mage that knows how to play and is fire spec. It SLAUGHTERS and is very easily not the biggest loser. Drinking water for hours is what mage was in classic. Massive aoe damage, huge single target damage at the cost of a lot of mana.

Repeat myself here, this isn’t classic. It’s season of discovery. In season of discovery they’ve already addressed mana issues and QoL changes for other classes.
Exactly. Why give hunters Aspect of the Viper and not give mages anything? No mana user besides mage has to drink for significant periods of time. Also, water was not balanced for level 40 players having 4k+ mana pools. the max water gives back just under 2k over what 28-30 seconds?
All mages want is to have to drink for less time out of combat, not eliminate drinking altogether.
Paladins got multiple buffs to help with mana.
One of Fire Mage’s most mandatory runes increases the mana cost of spells that crit. They actually got a nerf in terms of sustain there.
Crusader strike has good players? Living flame is overfilled with alliance hunters that back pedal and the horde let those same players slaughter them, even though they had numbers in phase 1.
Ele shams, boomies, rdruids all have mana issues.
Did not have mana issues in P1. I haven’t played it in P2, but they apparently have mana issues now after the Starsurge nerf, so maybe the nerf needs to be revisited.

only priests and hunters are allowed to have infinite mana I guess.

affliction is terrible though. thats the problem. Our dots do like less than half the dmg of a shadow priests dots. We have no way to survive against rogues or even enh shamans, even warriors are hard to beat. Mages instantly win. Shadow priests deletes you in 2 globals.
Affliction is a mosquito build. Not really viable.

Nope just a SoD issue. Rune scaling is just wildly overtuned. And warlocks dont have any affliction ability runes. We just have passives. and those passives do not affect dots in any way what so ever.

Honestly affliction is where it should be. buffing it would just make us equally as broken as shadow priests.
this oneshot meta is very boring. Everyone just getting nuked in 1-2 seconds is the problem.
Warlock is basically balanced in the current state. The problem is that every other class in the game is wildly overpowered.
