Catch up/upgrade system for Alts…
I acquire 12 per TIMED 16+, it takes 15 to craft each crest, and 4 crests per Spark item (at 447 ilev)
Why in gods green earth should it take me timing 75 (current 900 shadowflame crest weekly cap) to catch up.
This seems an absurd amount of time.
5 16s per item, x 16 slots.
If i needed to upgraded/craft etc every slot, then we’re talking 80 dungeons.
Can we get an increase to the amount of Shadowflame Crests drop per timed M+ ?
You’re crafting all 16 slots on alts? You only need enchanted aspect crests (the 4x per Spark item) if you’re crafting. Otherwise, you only need 1 aspect crest per item to hit 441, which is the highest you can upgrade items – any higher have to come from Mythic raid (or last 2 Heroic bosses) or the vault.
I am aware how the system works, 12 fragments per timed key is a bit low. It shouldn’t take that long to “catch up” with a catch up system.
No, I am not crafting all 16 slots, I was just using that to play devils advocate.
Catch up to what?
How would you even get the sparks to craft all that gear in the first place, without getting some crests along the way?
Currently, I need 18 Shadowflame Crests to upgrade my gear to max.
12 of which need to be used to make Enchanted Shadowflame Crests. (to Craft Helm, Ring, Boots)
The other 6 to upgrade Tier/Weapons.
They each require 15 Shadowflame Fragments to make 1 crest, so 15x18= 270 fragments.
At 270 Fragments and each M+ being timed at 16 giving 12 fragments, that would require me to time 23 separate 16+ Keys, to catch up.
Are you following?
IMO, alts shouldnt need crests. If you upgraded the path already on your main, it should only require the gear piece and flightstones.
THAT would be alt friendly.
That sounds like a 10.2 QoL change, after the introduce the S3 version of crests of course.
Remember from their original announcement, they told us already they would “wait several weeks” before making any changes to the system to evaluate the data.
The catchup system is crests have a rolling cap, and the cap is so high you will never reach it after the first month.
I don’t know what to tell you. Expecting them to change drop rates because you want to do a month’s worth of content in a week seems…optimistic.
Dunno why you feel the need to have an alt as geared as your main. It’s already easy enough to get 441 in 3 weeks. Alts should be alts not mains. If you want to characters at full BiS should require some work it’s already made easier for alts what you want instant BiS gear? Just cus your main got the gear?
Nice trash take. I’d like to switch between characters and experience raids and dungeons on alts at the skill level I have.
