Shadowed Unit Frames - Can't get Shaman totem icons to display

I posted this on r/WowUI but didn’t get much help, so I’m trying here. I recently downloaded SUF and enabled the totem bar option under “Bars” to display the icons of the totems being used instead of a status bar. However, I am still unable to see the totem icons, which can make it confusing to tell at a glance which totem is which, as well as keeping track of how long my earth elemental has. Does anyone know if it is possible to get the images of the totem to display like the SUF setting says?

I don’t know SUF so this is just supposition.

At some point Blizz. added unrelated things to the totem frame and removed Astral Recall I think was the spell and then locked down any addons ability to cancel totems by clicking making the Blizz. totem frame the only way to get the job done.

Possibly SUF hasn’t identified the change but even if they do, it gets worse in DF as the totems (and unrelated dross) are moved to a pool mechanism as part of the Buff frame which makes working with them even more … annoying.

I am able to right click the totems on my SUF. There is a SUF option that lets you enable the ability to right-click them.

It seems like some pre-launch foolishness may be going on (seems).

Using DUF, which worked the other day, now exhibits the same behavior. If I set DUF to show the default Player unit frame as well as the DUF frames, I get the TotemFrame showing icons. Without the default Player frame, they’re blank.

Just something else to add to the list of things to figure in the next week or so . Thanks for the heads-up, I think :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I managed to get it to work by doing the following:

  1. Set SUF to not hide the player frame
  2. Used MoveIt to move the player frame off screen (disable screen clamp)
  3. Used MoveIt to move the TotemFrame to wherever I wanted

Idk if you guys still need this: but here is the fix.

  1. /suf
  2. Player tab under “Unit configuration”
  3. Go to “bars” tab
  4. Make sure “Dismissable Totem bars” is ticked.

It’s allowing me to right click the timer under my character portrait to remove totems, including Earth Elemental
