Could we get an animation for Shadowburn? We press it a lot, and having some sort of cool visual feedback for pressing the button would be nice.
Not something with a projectile, maybe a quick beam? Similar to Lava Beam animation but more shadowflame particle effects and color.
Yes, and it should cause purple flames to spontaneously burst out of every orifice.
I mean, i’d rather just have an actual spell effect launch at an enemy, rather than the simple hand wave that happens when we press it now.
Kind of hard to see our orifices in combat lol, but better than nothing
Don’t mind making mobs explode out shadow the way Immolate lights them on fire or Wither’s shadowflame burning.
But the other part of me wants less spell effects cluttering my screen.
Unfortunately Shadowburn’s animation was made during the blunder years of BfA, when they decided it should be a movement filler shard generator that did less damage than Incinerate. They could at least make the effect as big as Conflagrate…
Sad considering it’s one of Destruction’s most iconic spells, being with the spec since before Incinerate and even Chaos Bolt. But after seeing the new visuals for classes like Death Knight, maybe it’s better if they don’t update anything?
A purplish-blue mini flamestrike-esque translucent pillar of flame on the target would be nice
Pretty sure there is a little purple blob that shows on the enemy when we use it.
