Shadow vault changed. And lots of nerfs and flag buffed to give haste

Except Secret Technique with its CD reduction mechanic doesn’t feel that great to press - I also still prefer the new Black Powder animation (would rather they name it like Shadow Burst or something)

But as it stands we get to use both, as clunky as that sounds. Shuriken Tornado is just… so boring. I’d argue a middle of the road approach would’ve worked well : AoE finisher on a 6sec CD with higher damage.

Oh also can I add that Envelopping Shadows changes doesn’t fix the fact that 2 charges of Shadow Dance defeats the purpose of revamping it to begin with.

I assume you didn’t see my other posts about Secret Technique. I advocated that Secret Technique comes as animation only, same mechanics and damage as Shadow Vault (now the powder). We’re talking about no cooldown, same damage and Find Weakness interaction.

Well that tells me that they still feel like they don’t want to punish players that like Enveloping Shadows as a talent.

But I do agree it is a balancing problem.

I saw sorry if I was unclear, i admit I didn’t type it very well : I don’t like Secret Technique animation personally, it’s barely noticeable.

@Maffic yeah its just that even with the nerf I think Envelopping will remain too strong by simple virtue of starting with 2 stacks

Just make the shadows more pronounced and it’s now noticeable.

I’m pretty sure the name is just placeholder, it sounds too much like an Outlaw ability and the effect doesn’t fit the name either.

I wouldn’t mind if they added a little to it’s animation, it would be cool if 1-5 purple daggers fly into the targets impaling them(1 for each CP). The shadowy explosion looks more like a Warlock ability than a Rogue, it’s fine as is though.

I mean black powder fits the ninja theme they want for Sub, thats the the issue for me, moreso that the animation has nothing to do with a black powder explosion
