The void’s new blue cosmic effect is way more eye-catching and appealing. Meanwhile, Shadowform still looks like an amalgamation of purple eye puke.

I kinda prefer Shadow magic having such a wide variety in it’s visual style.
Looks better than everything being green Kool-aid like feel does.
IMHO every spec should have a few colors to choose from.
Like how Warlocks can choose between red fire and green fire.
Shadow Priest spells should get a choice between purple or blue Void.

While we’re at it, let’s give them a void colour for PW:S, get rid of the sparkles and clouds beneath levitate, and make holy nova a choice node with shadow nova.

I’m fine with it looking varied. Doesn’t need to be a 1-1 translation of the new void style, but I would prefer it because it pops way more.
Really, I just want shadowform to not look like garbage. I hate that it turns my character into a purple cloud with no distinct outline, and the only solution I have is a glyph that practically removes the shadowform effect, thereby removing the class fantasy that is a shadow priest.
To be honest, shadow priests are due for an update to their abilities anyways. Many of them still look like they belong in 2012 when you stack them against the other caster classes. Midnight seems like a perfect opportunity to do that.
It’s hard to believe a spell effect from the initial launch of the game 20 years ago could look so immensely better than what we have now. It’s hard to imagine someone looking at the 2 side by side and thinking “yea, let’s go with this purple fart cloud.”

Did Shaman ever get those crazy spell effects that DF’s Primalists got?
Shadowform used to look a lot better before Legion when it made your character a dark silhouette of themselves.
As of Legion it was made by default to be just a transparent purple slight tint over the character, that scaled with Insanity and its visual effects maxed out in Voidform.
An option to use the original would be nice (and to be able to use it alongside the ‘Shadowy Friends’ glyph…).
Noooooooo, give us spell glyphs, do NOT turn the glorious purple of shadow priest into blue. Blue void is like…cosmic but it’s not shadow void. It’s not the same. Blue looks too arcane
