Just because of this thread, I’m going to spec change to shadow.

Must be a sad life to come into a class forum and ask when they’re going to nerf that class.

I better start going into the druid forums and ask when resto druid will be nerfed for M+, or go into the warrior forum to do the same, but I’d rather spend that time on better things.

oh the irony coming from the most OP PvP healer in the meta…

Not to mention having the highest HPS in raids

Agree. SP are totaly OP in the current raid and way above anything else

Small trait nerf to put them in line with other top specs would be nice.

Do whatever you want; shadow priests need a nerf more than both of those.

Based on what?

How is this relevant to SPriests being the most OP pve damage in raids?

As long as Balance gets a nerf too, then.

Meh, I’ll go ahead and give the stock response I always give.
ahem
Shadow priests are good in a single raid of the current expansion. This is because of class and fight design.
To change any of the above would be to make them irrelevant. Currently. They are only mediocre in other aspects of the game and a nerf would bring them in line for this single raid and push them to below the bottom for everything else. Good luck seeing them in MDI or any other high-end content as it is, much less if they are nerfed. So, my recommendation is to wait it out. Without nerfs, they will move to middle-low dps in the next raid that is unlikely to be designed in the same way as the current one.
Also, yes, it is ironic the class with the highest representation in mythic plus by a VERY wide margin is calling for nerfs. If they do smack shadow, I look forward to how they ruin your class as well.

Eh, not entirely convinced of this. On a fight like Mekkatorque, which is single-target, Shadow is still upper-mid.

they also have a decent skillcap that requires to to play the voidform mini game

Nerf raid encounter designs. :stuck_out_tongue:

We would be middle of the pack if the design philosophy of this raid was the same as last tier. I don’t mind if they balance out the nerfs well, but they haven’t been able to do that for many expansions.

Things shadow is great at:

  1. Sustained damage on high health 2+ targets
  2. Sustained Damage on high health mobs

Things shadow is okay at

  1. Sustained single target

Things shadow is bad at

  1. Reliable burst AoE on low health adds
  2. Fights with constant low health adds
  3. Burst single target damage

Look at the current raid design… that’s why shadow is out of control. Just so happens our 2 best azerite traits get a little crazy cray when you have multiple fights with high health adds.

Even then, Shadow still does high mid tier patchwerk single target dps, just due to how strong the extra azerite ring is for the spec.

Someone has to be at the top, Shadow hasnt in a while and they are at the top due to the raid fight designs, they are middle of the pact elsewhere and even when the shadow changes released before the new raid came out they were in the same place in the previous raid.

Bottom Line, Shadow is not getting a nerf because you guys are salty and do not understand where their power is coming from. Keep making these threads though we all know how effect they were for Affliction in legion
