Shadow priests movement speed: anything I can do?

(I left wow in Pandaria and only came back about a month ago. Pls forgive noob questions!)

I’ve been researching and I guess mania was a talent that made us faster but now it’s gone. Body and Soul only makes you 40% faster for the first 3 seconds.

When I do raids, I can barely keep up with the group, especially transmog runs where they move fast. My group kills bosses before I even get there because I’m stuck running indoors with no way to go faster.

Is there anything I can do?? I know there are like… gems to increase movement speed. The enchants to move faster are all for lower lvl gear and don’t work. I’m an alchemist so I guess I can just live on swiftness potions but my god.

How do the rest of you handle this? Is there something I’m missing? I’m sick of being uselessly slow and making everyone wait for me all the time.

EDIT: Just more whining… I’m currently trying to play through the legion campaign to get void elves and those mfing ships will be the absolute death of me, making me run all the way across them just to talk to some npc and run back to the transporter.

Body and Soul is the correct answer (Feathers if you’re Disc/Holy). Just spam shield yourself while moving.

But it only lasts for 3 seconds though?

And? You can re-cast it every 5s, that’s 60% uptime on +40% movement speed (which averages to +24% movement speed). Better than most classes/specs.

Your hunter, by contrast, gets 13% uptime on Cheeta and 20% on Posthaste.

Chug swiftness type potions

But my hunter has a talent that makes me go 30% faster at all times so long as I’m not in combat. I know hunters in general have a lot of talents and things to make them faster, so it’s an unfair comparison (mine can outrun ground mounts in short bursts) but of all my alts, my priest is the slowest.

I was just wondering if there were some trick to going faster I was unaware of but I guess there’s not.

Aside from properly leading off on pulls, no.

Dispersion also has a speed buff on it and I use it for that when running around EP, but it’s not up all that often. Otherwise it’s just spamming shield. And if anyone gets too far ahead, leap of faith!

Adding this in case others have this problem… Once you level your azerite armor & necklace up high enough, there are gobs of abilities related to speed. Longstrider doesn’t seem to ACTUALLY make me that much faster, but vampiric speed makes you speed up for a few secs after killing an enemy which is great for dungeons.

The PvP Talent for Fade also increases your movement speed as well. I personally miss having angelic feathers for shadow, I could actually kite melee back in MoP and WoD providing the circumstances I was able to utilize LoS and/or predict what abilities my enemies were going to use and preemptively staying out of range or in between a warrior’s hitbox range and minimum charge range. But yeah right now mobility isn’t as good as what it used to be.
Spectral Guise was a great talent too in combination with Angelic Feathers, especially for predicting and making your move first before getting snared. I also used feathers a lot to kite in pve as well.

Yeah I love this for questing but dungeons and raids turn off your pvp talents. ugh.
