Why we continue to buff shadow priests? Top PVE Dmg, Top PVP. Their kit is so finished compared to others. This class takes 0 skill to outplay anyone as well. It’s insane how the dev’s keep buffing Shadow Priests lol. smh

I’m editing after looking at the logs. Priests are not top PvE and are ranked 9th for the 1 day average at the 90th percentile.
I don’t PvP, so I don’t have an opinion on that.

Top PVE damage? Spriests are middle of the pack right now and shadow scales horribly.

run some raids with some better performance Mage & Locks (previously hunter as well)
SP is just about average now.

I really don’t understand why people get upset that the class with 2 healing spec’s is the best healer. If they made like smite priest a thing maybe that would be cool, but given the talent trees that would be rough.

What do you base this statement on? How does shadow “scale horribly?”
Edit: I’m asking genuinely not trying to bait. My understanding of shadow in Classic was that the damage wasn’t bad, but they were limited by mana and debuff cap.
The spell coefficiencies are lower so +spell power doesn’t benefit spriests as well, not to mention that spriests also don’t get buffs from other classes like how a mage’s scorch helps warlocks and how shadow weaving helps them as well.
They cant crit on dots. Might change. And if they did they have no crit damage multiplliers as well
All the dots spell power multipliers are the same for all classes, void plague have a just insane lvl scaling base damage, and mind spike is by far the best 1.5 casted spell in the game.
Im tired of bads coming on here crying about stuff. Just learn to play better and you will have zero problems. This is a skill issue

I never had a problem with hunters being the top DPS.
I’m fine with where priests are at healing. I think the other healing classes could still use some love, though. I don’t want priest heals nerfed. That doesn’t help anybody.

Okay? I am not just talking about dots when it comes to spell coefficiency lol. Void plague does a small amount of damage in PVE for spriests right now, like 5-10% of overall damage. Mind spike and mind blast do the most work for our damage, but again those have lower coefficiencies.

Yeah I would be fine with other classes healing being better, I just see many people saying they should be on par with priests which would be weird to me unless something got reworked for us. So apologies for assuming that was what you were saying.

PVP: Such a stupid class, has no weakness. Given the best runes of P2 on top of baseline new spell and baseline mana reduction.

I can upload a video, of outplaying every spriest in pvp, doing everything correct, while they are drooling on their keyboarding playing with one hand
