Looking to make a caster class beside boomkin / mage any suggestions on which of these specs is a power house to a casual gamer.
elemental is the most fun, spriest is the strongest overrall, warlock is the strongest in RBGS.

While I have no personal knowledge on these classes, I’m in a pretty accomplished PVP guild. The other day in chat some people were talking about Ele getting ready to be pretty insane due to some buff they’re getting.
All 3 you mentioned are good, though. Warlock being probably the most meta choice due to their slow legendary, though.
Ele and Spriest are both really strong, Ele is better in 2s, Spriest is slightly better in general in 3s, Warlock isn’t strong currently and I’ve never played it so IDK. Ele is the most fun for me.

It’s much weaker in arena, but in RBGS its still insane and this is the battleground forum so i was just assuming it was a bg/rbg focus.
its an exact net neutral damage change in sustained, but a higher (and more RNG) burst potential.

I gotcha. Yeah, Shaman is one of the 2 or 3 classes I’ve never mained at some point so I didn’t pay very close attention to what they were saying in chat.
At either rate I hope they keep buffing stuff to open the meta up a little. I had a multi glad on a combatant-geared Ele in some like 2300-2400 mmr games the other night, we won 4 in a row so they seem to be in a pretty good place, he was owning people mid on EoTS.

yeah ele is good. and in fights like middle of eots and maybe like waterworks in gilneas it will likely be a significant damage increase ? it depends. the buff to earthquake and chain lightning might make fights like those pretty rewarding

Ele Shaman absolute beast plus you can go healer if you want or melee

ELE is very strong OP if you will atm but of course its your choice just throwing that option out there
Don’t pick ele shaman unless your lightning lasso epileptic strafing is on point.
Ele is not strong in pvp. You have to snare opponents and dance around waiting for procs to allow you to insta-cast. Meanwhile melee is pushing you #$@%#$ in like it’s Training Day. Warlocks are just as bad but have less burst. Spriest might be ok (I haven’t pvped with it).
This game has devolved into the worst incarnation it has ever been in. There are seriously like 3 uber classes, and the rest don’t compare. Then there are like 4 or 5 complete crap specs.
ele is middle of the pack. its got top tier burst, and great utility with totems, cap, grounding, skyfury, it just really lacks mobility, defensives and the ability to base sit.
shadow priest rotation is very fluid. But in bgs can painful solo vs melee trains so I feel its not great for casual bgs.
They are good in epic bgs like most ranged where you nuke melee from the back.
I havent played Ele they look fun - but might also hate the melee train
Lock is kinda squishy this expansion I believe they are not great in casual pvp. And seem kind of boring. They are in RBGS mainly just for a slow

All 3 can be great in the hands of an amazing pilot 
Having gotten all 3 to 60 and geared em out a bit they all kind of suffer from the same melee train “unfun” feeling of always trying to get your stuff going.
I suppose out of them all, the best suited to handle being trained is SP with those defensives but that’s arguable.
Try out all 3 and then decide.

If you want to rbg, aff lock. If you want arena and rbg spriest, if you want to only arena ele sham.
