I’m deciding on my main for Midnight. I really enjoy dark, void-themed fantasy. Which class do you think represents the Void better: Shadow Priest or the new Demon Hunter Devourer? Which one has deeper void lore and aesthetics?

I’d wait until Midnight. Classes will change and we don’t even know what Devourer will be like.

Hard to say for sure at this point with only limited details on devourer. But the impression I get is that while shadow priests draw upon the idea of the old gods as a specific point of worship, devourer seems to be more about void power as a cosmic force. I guess, do you like your purple to have tentacles? That’s the big question.

You are right I also have the feeling the shadow priest are like old gods fanatics but they are all dead so it’s weird. While Devourer is more like cosmic void. Also the devs said all spells and talents will be blue void, nothing green(fel) but I haven’t see the skills yet. However I have the feeling devourer will be darker or more void since demon hunters are also considered a “dark” class. idk if it makes sense

I think it’ll be like priests vs paladins. One channels the other becomes a living conduit.

Shadow Priest for now with Archon and 4 set.
Make a weakaura that plays a disco sound when you do 3 devouring plagues in a 10 second period or plays an excerpt from halo (beyonce), you’ll understand what I mean. 
You will feel incredibly void-y.
Once Midnight comes just try devourer, you have plenty of time to try both.
