Looking for some good macros that help with the priority rotation and mass amount of buttons. The flow doesn’t feel so bad but I’d like to make it more convenient I suppose. Are there any macros you swear by or appreciate using?
On that note as well what does your priority rotation look like that you feel maximizes your dps? I really want to maximize potential so any advice is appreciated!

Personally, I only use two macros. I use one for Shadow Crash when doing m+ that casts Shadow Crash at the location of my cursor so I don’t have to click it twice:
#showtooltip
/cast [@cursor] Shadow Crash
Depending on the situation, I usually use a PI + Ruby macro. Obviously it depends on if you have the Ruby trinket or not, and sometimes it’s better to use Ruby alone since you get higher crit from low health mobs, but it can be nice to have one less button to push:
#showtooltip
/cast Power Infusion
/cast Soulletting Ruby
For rotation during cds, depending on what talents and leggo you’re running, basic rotation is: Vampiric Touch > Shadow Word: Pain > Void Torrent > Devouring Plague > Shadowfiend > Void Eruption > PI + Trinket > Void Bolt. In Voidform, it’s Void Bolt > two spells (mind blast or devouring plague depending on insanity levels) > Void Bolt > repeat.
Deeper explanations with covenant abilities and leggo interactions can be found on the Wowhead article by Ellipsis here: https://www.wowhead.com/shadow-priest-rotation-guide.
Good luck!

The guide linked above is a good start.
Honestly there really aren’t that many macro’s outside of mouseovers that are super useful because of gcd restrictions.
The only macro’s I use are for Searing Nightmare and Dispersion cancelaura both of which are available in the guide linked above.
Whilst levelling it’s hard to fully appreciate the flow shadows rotation comes to have. Your haste is low, you aren’t fighting anything for any real length of time. The big thing to get used to, at least in my view, is the cooldown of your major rotational spells (Mind blast and void bolt) is hasted to be equal to a number of gcds. This makes the rotation in voidform very rhythmic, where you always have the same number of spells between every void bolt (2).
The only macros I recommend are the @cursor shadow crash and nested swp/SN macros which I can’t type right now since I’m on my phone.
This was actually my first shadow priest, for some reason (on mobile anyways) it is missing a few of my more recent characters. I have a lvl 60 shadow with better gear so my question here would be how much haste is a good goal to shoot for? I have been building up haste/mastery and without being able to log in there and look I want to say they’re at 19% and 18% respectfully. So nothing amazing.
Most people report things don’t really smooth out until you’re above 25% which is what people had access to around the start of castle nathria.
Most raid geared shadows are in the 30-35% range.
Thanks! I couldn’t find a definitive number when I was researching it so I’ll keep pushing it and see where I can get. Appreciate the help
There are no definitive numbers, everything I say is simplified for the sake of being able to answer your question. The answer is always going to be based on your characters exact current setup and require simming.
