Shadow Priest help

I haven’t really ever played shadow before, aside from questing or a handful of BGs.
My question is: how does the rotation or priority list work?
So far I have:

  • Maintain DoTs
  • Void Channel to build
  • Mind Blast
  • Shadowfiend
  • Void Form and Bolt
  • Devo Plague (not sure when it needs to refresh or stack)
  • bolt, blast, devo
  • refresh DoTs and build until more Devos
  • Shadow crash on CD unless adds
With the AoE being something like
  • Crash
  • Seer & the AoE spender
  • void form
  • bolt/blast priority targets
    Any help would be appreciated!

I would recommend tackling it in pieces depending on your content as well.

The AoE in mythic+ is complicated but for most pulls you want to get VT on 3-4 targets really fast. Keep Mind Blast in the rotation for insanity generation and spirits. Searing Nightmare in between cooldowns of mind blast. Shadow Crash also is very easy to fall behind Auspicious Spirits if its not put on cooldown very effectively. I recommend using Auspicious until you feel comfortable with all your pulls.

As you start adding more targets you want to drop spells from rotation, check out a icy veins for an in depth break down.

For raiding you want to have a strong opener, get VT and SWP out. Mind Blast and void torrent used to get up insanity. Get shadowfiend out and DP right before you void form so you aren’t wasting GCD’s while in form. Power Infusion right after void form pops. Then you are just mind blasting in between void bolts, making sure mind blast is never not charging (capped at 2 charges) try not to over apply DP as you want uptime while avoiding capping insanity. Mind Flay is the hard part especially if you have hero/lust up during this time because stuff is gonna be goin fast. You want to sneak in sticks of mind flay for procs whenever you can

Awesome thanks!
