Shadow Priest Gear

I’m almost lvl55 and was wondering what gear I should be looking for? Is there a specific tier set I should be looking for? Should I even be looking for tier set gear? This is my first classic shadow priest so I don’t really know what I’m doing. Any suggestions would be great.

No sets for shadow. Just look for shadow damage gear, lots of crafted gear is good. Don’t need crit, your spells don’t crit except for 1.

Well, Shadow Focus gives 10% so you need to make up the rest from gear if you’re going for a raid hit cap.

Priest tier gear sucks for Shadow, but accept it anyway for flexibility’s sake. There’s times where you will be called to heal and you can kind of heal with that from a Shadow spec.

For a starter set, grab the Felcloth set.

Just steal all the Warlock gear

The only specific shadow sets in the game are the pvp set and t2.5 since it gives spellpower. You can wait for prepatch to farm it out or go for individual sp pieces in raids

shadow priests in vanilla classic can’t really benefit from tier sets. You might need to go heal spec a bit for anathema, though staff of the ruin from aq20 also good. Going for spell damage in general doing zg/mc/aq20, before other raids. If you are tailoring you can get bloodvine stuff.

In short you need general spell damage or shadow damage pieces. Lord vlak from ubrs drops some good lock/spriest if it comes up. There is also jed fishing, if you have a friend who is a hunter/rogue it might be an ok idea. AV rep also has a good off hand if the off hand given is as good as it is with all other classes.

Wouldn’t suggest trying to join zg/mc before lvl 58 or so, so get mc and ony attuned if you haven’t though ony more for the mana regen trinket.

After the tbc prepatch you can get rank12-14 gear for about 200 total bg marks, though some pieces are missing.
