Shadow Priest CC

I realized there are a lot of posts about Shadow Priests, but mostly I am seeing their self-healing and damage as primary topics. I wanted to call attention to the absolute busted amount of CC this class brings to the table currently.

-45s stun
-45s silence
-30s fear
-1 minute Dark Ascension fears
-Mind games + dots dispel fear
-root

As a healer, its pretty much an auto-loss vs a SP in solo shuffle because if even one other enemy player contributes to this huge list of CC, you’re just out of the game for an incredibly long time unable to play your class. One class should not have the ability to lock you out of playing for an eternity…

Can’t respond right now my trinket is on CD and I am in the middle of fear number 3…

This is longer than most other classes

All melee interupts are like 5-8 second CDs

Most stuns are around 15-30 sec CDs

Like rogues get 15 second kidney which is a 7 second stun but priests are OP??? Lmao

how can you compare an instant, ranged blanket silence to melee-range interrupts? At least kidney requires combo points & melee, so if they want to insta it on a healer they either have to waste shadow step + combo points or run over, either way you’re getting something from it. There’s no outplay to ranged instant blanket silence + stun

Duration wise all our cc is pretty short so idk what to tell you. Scream is basically melee range and is cancelled by any single instance of damage, silence lasts like 3 seconds and our stun is 4 second duration. I have a hard time keeping anyone locked down whatsoever. So yeah, disagree.

Not sure what you mean since most sp are running the build where fear doesn’t break on damage. So essentially every minute the healer will get stun>silence>fear>mind games and can’t dispel without getting feared again. That’s roughly 15 seconds of CC. I have a 2 minute trinket. Cool.

Shadow priest broken and we got white knights defending it to their last breathe.

Most spriests are running void tendrils now. At least the high rating ones are.

I mean you could just line it :face_with_diagonal_mouth:
