I’m sure most have noticed that on the warband screen (the camp) if you select your Shadow Priest they hover in the air in a ready position, shadow pouring from their hands and feet.
Of course if we use things like PW:Shield, Levitate, flash heal, etc. in game, it is coded to be of the Light.
Is this indicative that devs are going to give us purple spell effects for Shadow spec, or is this just another tease of something that looks cool that we can’t actually have?
Initially having the Dracthyr fly to Horde/Alli capital cities in their opening quest line and having them depicted as warriors and physical fighters in the pre xpac animations led to a lot of disappointment. Later we got Dynamic Flight and will be getting new classes for them. (A win!)
Having male Forsaken guards that protect Zul’dazar be standing upright without the over pronounced hunch; having the beautiful realistic animations in BfA with Darkspear trolls standing upright as well- all teases.
I’m not advocating that you remove cool things from the game. I’m asking you to give them to players. Why create these types of changes and then deny them to the people who have been asking for them?
In the last few years you’ve gone to far greater lengths then the last ten to give players things they’ve wanted to see in game. I think you should continue with that.
Not just posture either. Reading public chats in the game, there isn’t a day that goes by that people don’t ask for different body types. Chubby Vulpera, skinny humans, swole/slender elves, male Drenai that don’t look like walking refrigerators, etc.
Personally I’ve always been a fan of reversing the posture on Darkspear Trolls- having them stand more upright and walk with a more hunched lope.
Leaning! When NPCs sit near a wall they have a different pose; some NPCS stand leaning against walls! Can we have this please? If our characters are standing near an object tall enough for the model, typing /lean and having them do it would be great. If our characters sit with their backs to an object, having them change their sitting pose would be nice too.
The TLDR is:
If you make lore/mechanics in your game that would reasonably be accessible to player characters you should implement them as such. Otherwise it’s a tease and makes the game less fun to play.
