Is there a shortcut from the final boss to the entrance I missed somehow, or is the entire walk back the only way?
I want to farm it for a mog but urrrrg. DK and Warlock are slowwwww
No shortcuts. You’re gonna have to hoof it there and back, every time.
Are you farming Normal or Heroic?
If you’re just doing Normal, park both in front of it. Clear with one, then the other… hopefully by the time the 2nd is done your first guy will have completely logged out so he’ll be at the entrance when you log back in.
Alternatively, you can clear and then just go do something else for 15 minutes and log back in and be at the entrance.

I don’t know if this method for getting out of an instance works any longer, (and you need two accounts or a friendly helper) but you could try it:
here’s the slick part that will get you OUT of Maraudon and back in to try again faster than any other way: invite an alt on your other account to a party and once you’re in a party together, immediately leave party with the character in Maraudon. If you don’t have another account, ask a guildy to help; this takes all of two seconds so they won’t be inconvenienced for long.
Your character in Maraudon will be given a message that they’re not in this instance’s group and will be teleported to the nearest graveyard in one minute. Go back into stealth and wait out that minute. You’ll be ported out to a point where you can head right back through the tunnels in the pre-instance to the Earth Song Falls entrance you went into before.
Be sure to right click your character portrait and select “Reset all instances” before heading back into the instance to try again!
