Me I prefer the Necromancer class as to why. We have seen nothing but melee classes since WoTLk and I honestly believe that we’re long overdue for one this is just my opinion but I believe it would be a great addition to the already overcrowded melee lineup
Necromancer… as a mage spec.
I would prefer no more classes be added to the game. They can’t balance what they already have, and for them to add a new class would mean taking away abilities/ideas from other classes at this point.
That could work lorewise because druids do have four specs but it would have to be some kind of unlock requiment or just another class altogether nonetheless a good suggestion
Tinker, introduced along with mechagnomes and vulpera.
That’s reasonable as well but still we are overdue for another class but that’s just me every class that has been made has gone through trial an error so to speak
Who even WANTS mechagnomes?
They should just add junker gnome customization to regular gnomes.
I honestly feel like they’re definitely setting up the stage for them at this point in BFA
The same thing was often said about Lightforged draenei and Highmountain tauren being simple customization options. What they should do and what they will do are unfortunately different things.
You misspelled bard.
A blood elf on the shelf bard I’ve heard that one. Well add it to the list too might as well it would have to be somewhere in the realm of a caster/support class I’d believe
tough call for me between Tinker & Necromancer…
I’d really like a Tinker class to change my Gnome & Goblin over to… the class has so much flavor for those 2 races and fits them far better than any other class…
but then there’s necromancer… which would be absolutely perfect for my Undead & Troll… depending on the specs available to them anyways… I’d suspect a Necromancer class would have Unholy (Pet DPS spec, summons a horde of undead creatures to fight for you), Blood (A healer spec focused around healing and buffing your allies through blood magic), and Hex (A pure DPS spec with spells that resemble that of the Drust witches)
Bard won’t happen because WoW sticks to the holy trinity of tank heal dps, no supports.
Necromancer is a little too similar to warlocks and death knights, they’ll need something more unique
Tinker fits kind of well, being pet class (or not) and finally gives more classes to utilise guns/bows other than hunters, and possibly wear mail gear too
Bard doesn’t have to be support only. I’m picturing a class with mostly DoTs and evasion, like a mix between affliction warlock and rogue, except with abilities that are bard themed. I’ve seen bards do plenty of damage in D&D.
I’m going to counter your opinion with a little history ok Death Knights are fallen Paladins raised by the Lich King himself. Ok secondly Necromancers are Mages who switched to necromancy and plauge magic something of that for a Necromancer class would be in the lore itself. Necromancy has been around since vanilla and Warlock’s dabble in destruction fel shadow and demon’s. Bard’s could be a good fit for WoW and Shaman’s we’re a support class in classic and still are in a way. I mean Monk’s made it to WoW excuse me I gagged a little thinking about Monk’s
Shadow Hunter. Could easily fill a variety of roles and the more voodoo the better
Personally I prefer Blademaster, even if it will probably never happen
When I think bard I think melee/caster class with buffs kind of like a shaman but a little more punch like with their totems
The first death knights were orc warlocks under nerzhul that took over human bodies in the first war, and even afterwards its not strictly paladins that were made into death knights, they were just better targets. Necromancers plagues and etc sounds a lot like affliction warlocks or Unholy death knights don’t you think?
I could get behind that idea!
