Here we are all the way in beta and Shadow has still received nothing more than “we know it doesn’t work in 95% of the game, we know we can’t balance it, and we know you don’t like it.”
And this is now the second expansion Blizzard has seen mountains of detailed Priest feedback and deliberately ignored it. Four long years of essentially telling Priest players to get bent.
Must be nice to be one of the pet classes that gets a weekly dev update.

You mean to priest in general.
They made Shadow Priests into Void cultists because Shadow itself has almost no lore about it or where the power comes from. So instead of actually shoring up that lack they flipped us into a bunch of Void crazed kool aid drinking cultists.
Well they have two healing specs so they should probably stick to healing or play a DPS class that’s better than Spriest.

There is such an easy fix though, stop with the borrowed power crap and just put them back how they were pre-Legion. Like with 95% of everything in this game, just stop with the borrow power crap, fix our classes so they work on their own as a stand alone class and than add some powers to supplement us instead of being the only thing that fixes it.
tbh their healing specs also kinda stink. Discipline is super clunky in any high mythic+ and holy feels lacking in the actual heals it has. You shouldn’t have to play meta to do well.
Maybe we should stop reinventing the wheel every expansion. Let classes keep their indentity that has built up over the years and stop hacking it down every 3 years for “freshness”.
I can log onto my Shaman in everquest almost 20 years later and he still plays the same way. I can pick up a new version of Street Fighter pick Chun-Li and still do good because her gameplay is fundamentally the same.
