One quick comment, a few Sub rogue will get really annoyed if Outlaw rogues get more uptime on Shadow Dance because of CDR… I didn’t crunch any numbers, and maybe this won’t happen. But I’m thinking it’s a non-zero probability this can happen.
This is going to be a major tilter.
Will shadow dance even be good for outlaw?
yes, sublaw is looking like a very very good raid build right now. due to the ambush talents

Am I alone in thinking Shadowdance shouldn’t be in the Rogue kit or if it remains, sub needs something new and it would need to be pretty major?

They want to give rogues the option to be more stealthy. Even outlaw is getting the choice to use ambush more
Do we know if Outlaw actually get CDR on Shadowdance?

It says it on restless blades

And we should care what some “sub rogues” think about another spec of their class also using the same ability why? I’ll never understand bizarre zero-sum mentality in-fighting between class specs.
Let them cry. We’re one class. It looks like there’s a few ways to build specs now, and the ambush-outlaw will probably their single target build.

Well Shadow Dance is a subtlety cannon-ability. Feels weird if it turns out to be stronger on another spec…

As a Subtlety rogue, I could care less if dance is in the class tree. All I care about is that our tools are finally restored to us and it is solely up to you on what you want to emphasize on in the skill tree.

As long as Subtlety has the best version of Shadow Dance (which it should, since it still has Dark Shadow and two charges of Dance), I think making it accessible to Sin and Outlaw after they’ve spent a good amount of their class points on the Sub side of the tree is fine, especially if it allows for interesting builds like the Ambush build that Outlaw’s got going on. Kind of like alternate variations of Subtlety, or Sub/Sin and Sub/Outlaw hybrid specs.

Agreed, i’m completely cool with it and I encourage people to explore it all if they feel it is solid for what they want. You can always dump the point somewhere else too and that’s cool too because it is your choice to do so.
I was looking more in depth at the outlaw ambush build, I must say it DOES look fun to play.
Shadow dance isn’t stealthy. It just devalues openers by making them rotation abilities.

Right - they give you something for free. Cherish it!
I wonder if gripping a 1h weapon instead of a dagger affects dmg. If so, I want 1h weapon on my Sub back even more.
am i alone that i dont want to have to use shadow dance?

Problem solved: Shadow Dance does not benefit from Restless Blades anymore.
I’m with you on this. Shadow Dance is Subtlety’s signature ability.
