What a great use of DPS uptime, walking forward into melee and then running back out to cast a single spell.
Any other classes with an equally efficient use of GCD’s?

We need Shadow crash for every pull, not every other pull. Half a Cooldown would fix that.
Ignore Snozay, he’s the drunk that Cynycsp is speaking of constantly throwing in negative comments instead of giving reasonable ideas.
I totaly agree, this happens too often in low level keys, thats why our damage was always trash in comparison to other classes. They left nothing for us to kill.
I have shadowcrash available every pull.
Sorry you cant handle facts and resort to libel because you cant refute facts.
While i have yet to come across this in pve…in pvp its very often that crash wont hit or dot ppl that are right in the impact zone. Very often
Current shadow crash is one of the best things shadow has gotten in a long time, spread dotting vampiric touch is massive, having a 30 second cooldown attached to it is the worst part since its pretty common to have a case where you want to prep aoe more often then 30 seconds. Having the button be hasted or having one of our dead talents converted into a second charge would be nice.
You run up with the tank while he pulls, and you don’t run back out, because why would you? In most fights you need to be stacked anyways.
If i had my way, remove it, make sear a spender again that spreads the dots to all it hits in place of crash.
But thats me.
having 2 charges can be really really nice
I don’t know how you can come to the conclusion that an auto targeted Shadow Crash would be a nerf in PvP… It would be a massive buff. I’ve seen more Shadow crash being whiffed in PvP than I can count, guaranteeing that it hit is just a ridiculous proposal for PvP.
I don’t see why it’s bad for an ability to be ground targeted. Just… Don’t waste it on nothing? It’s not like it’s hard to land the thing.
This. 100%. And/or a much shorter cooldown.
The one benefit of ground targeted Shadow Crash is in Arena when people are LoSing behind a pillar. You can hit them with Shadow Crash without needing them to be in LoS. If I notice a player is pillar humping, I’ll run in one direction around a pillar, and send my Shadow Crash in the other knowing they’ll end up running right into it. That’s pretty much it.
Not the only benefit, it also has the benefit of requiring more thought process to use and therefore can be made stronger to compensate.
Since when has Blizzard balanced around difficulty… lol.
Plenty of abilities that are extremely good and hard to use but would be considered absolutely overpowered if made easier to use.
Intervene, Traps, snowdrift, etc.
Imagine the rage if mages got deep freeze again, or if traps were targeted and unavoidable rather than ground targeted or if intervene only required you to press the button to redirect abilities to you.
They were able to be targeted for awhile using a work around macro, which made them broken and too easy to use in PvP, I will agree. I don’t think this should be much of an issue in PvE though to be honest, movement is pretty predictable.
all of this is irrelevant because they could balance shadow PvP with that in mind anyways.
I’d like to see Unfurling Darkness changed a bit. Get rid of the instant damage and make it spread to a few more targets. That gives you more choices on how you want to spread. 4 targets with VT + UF on a 15 second, 8 with SC on 30, or 12 with both of them.
Just wanna make sure you are aware that you are comparing utility abilities to Shadow Crash that just does Damage and apply DoTs.
