If you are enjoying the show I highly recommend checking out the books. They are a wonderful read and are filled with so much more detail and character building. The show however has done a great job so far of blending things together and I’ve enjoyed it.

I honestly thought I was going to hate this show going in, and through most of the first episode I was grumbling about all the usual tropes they seemed to be rolling into it that have ruined so much new sci-fi and fantasy. Then, at some point, I realized I was really enjoying it. Really nice and unexpected experience.

They set the bar really high. Only 8 episodes for season 1. Same number of episodes comparing with The Witcher.
