Shado-Pan and Sha Weaving

I was wondering if anyone thought about the possibility of the Shado-Pan mastering the sha. It could be akin to the Illidari fighting the demons, but with a scenario similar to the Lightforged Draenei and how they overcome their hardships and become infused with the light.

If I remember correctly, the Shado-Pan are known for keeping their emotions in control in order to resist the sha and whispers while keeping the Mantid at bay.

My question is - Do you think it is possible for anyone to use the sha as a weapon without becoming possessed or overtaken by it? (I thought the Shado-Pan would be good candidates)

Technically, maybe? But I think the Sha is basically gone now with the destruction of the heart of Y’Shaarj.

I have sometimes considered that some kind of sha-mastery would be a decent excuse for Pandaren warlocks.

Having seen that even Taran Zhu can be corrupted, though, messing with the sha is probably far too risky.

What he said, there isn’t any Sha power left to draw on. Besides, isn’t it basically just highly specific void magic at the end of the day?

In an ideal world, I would’ve liked to see a darker - potentially shunned - side of Pandaria with masters of the Sha, in the same vein as the Ren’dorei. Shadow Priests, Warlocks, maybe even Pandaren hulks. But on the other hand, that probably would’ve largely defeated the message of the expansion (even if BFA has largely contradicted it anyway).

Also what Imerus said. With Y’Shaarj gone and the Seven Sha Primes destroyed, it’s unlikely we’ll ever see them in force again.

Didn’t Tong say we survive because of Alliance and Horde’s conflict between one another? That was one of the messages of MoP along with Fear, Anger, Hatred and Pride being a danger one must avoid in War.

Horde side Garrosh of course represents Anger/Hatred while Sylvanas represents Fear which wasn’t resolved in MoP to begin with.

Nazjatar has Genn and Lorthemar swallow their Pride to save Azeroth from the threats of Sylvanas and N’Zoth. We don’t see Genn object to Jaina’s speech following the end of the Eternal Palace at Nazjatar and Shandris willingly allied with Thalyssra so Pride is being swallowed by most Alliance members.

Tyrande and Admiral Rogers are the loose ends concerning the Alliance since we have no idea what move they will make.

As for the Sha: We clear some out of Shado Pan Monastery during Legion so they still exist though obviously aren’t Sha Prime. We actively collected Sha energies in Shado Pan Monastery during Legion(by stepping on Critter sized Sha Haunts) and only got a couple of Sha Mediums out of the deal so Sha Prime aren’t likely to be coming back though Sha-Shaping isn’t out of the question…
