Often my input seems to lag, or it’ll just autorun in whatever direction I’m going like the input cut out or something - only it didn’t. Using an M2 Macbook Air, and an Apple Mouse and built-in keyboard and trackpad. It happens even without the mouse. I disabled all mouse related gestures and the shake the pointer accessiblity feature to make sure they weren’t accidentally losing window focus. When it just autoruns I have to CMD+tab out and back to make it stop. Often the input seems to lag so it’ll start moving based on my keypresses or mouse movements a second later like it’s queuing them up or something. Sometimes keypresses or mouse manipulation just won’t respond in the game. WoW Classic does not do this at all and works just fine. I disabled all addons and repaired the game and it still does it. I’m fully updated on macOS. Please help!
EDIT: I forgot to add, there’ significant typing lag in chat, I lowered the graphics to 4 to test that out, repaired the game, disabled all addons, reloaded the UI several times, and no other Mac app does this. Speed tests and latency are just fine.
UPDATE: If anybody reads this, I logged on today and it was … fine?? I finished an entire dungeon without getting (understandably) kicked, and even finished a delve. No real problem. The difference? I had WoW running in my MacBook monitor and not the external 1080p 32" I use as a second display, plugged in through a USB-C hub. I’m wondering if maybe using an external display for the game in this manner causes some sort of lag?? Would there be a way to prevent this in the future?
