Several Questions

As I stated in another post, I am presently playing on a dead/locked server, Windseeker. While it has been great, there are certain limitations to playing on such a server and I think it’d be naive to believe that Blizzard won’t eventually follow through and scrap it so I’d either be forced to transfer or just hang my hat up and call it a day on WoW. That said, I’ve a few questions that I am hoping someone will answer.

1.) Are guilds/groups/raids cross-server in Cataclysm classic? For some odd reason, I want to say I remember this being a thing though I don’t know if that only applies to retail or if this is perhaps something I dreamed up.

2.) Is there any means of transferring a guild? I have a guild to myself (created for that very purpose along with a personal guild bank) and would hate to have to recreate it from scratch. I’m not sure I could transfer the amount of gold and items it presently holds which is the crux of my concern.

3.) Does there exist any interest in completing older content for achievements/transmog purposes or is the player base solely focused on Cataclysm content?

4.) More an addendum to question three, is there anything beyond speculation about whether or not certain mounts from older content (particularly the achievement related mounts from Naxxramas/Ulduar/ICC and the dropped mounts from Yogg and LK) will still be available once everyone is pushed into MoP?

  1. Guilds are not. Groups are if you use RDF. Raids are not, but LFR (if they add it - that’s not confirmed) probably would be

  2. I’m not 100%, so I won’t answer

  3. Based on Mankrik (I don’t know how it is on other servers) - There are often groups forming for BT and Sunwell tmog runs. Achievement runs are much rarer but do exist. If you wanted to form a raid, you’d probably get whispers.

  3. I haven’t seen any but you could probably form groups on a populated server

Just thought of another question. What all gets removed when Cataclysm transitions over to MoP? The vanilla dungeon sets being removed were a bit of a surprise to me though I was relieved to see that you can still acquire their appearance via the DMF. Just want to know if there’s perhaps something I should be focused on acquiring now before MoP arrives and I find myself out of luck.
