Several Changes to Multiple Cooldowns in PTR

Several cooldowns have had additional effects added to them upon activation, such as extra max energy for Outlaw Rogues and Ascendance proccing a big AoE heal for Restoration Shamans.

As is to be expected changes to cooldowns will also affect PvP combat.

Right, because ascendance wasn’t already mandatory for Arena or anything.

It obviously needed a buff.

Yeah Ret wings damage down 20% but crit increased 20%. Due to the nature of crit only doing 150% damage in PvP and not 200% it seems like a PvP nerf and a PvE buff. I suppose if you get a lucky string of all crits it might be devastating though

It’s more of a repurposing. Guaranteed crit on your first spell after casting wings (for Ret it’s divine storm or Templar’s). 20% damage, healing, and bonus crit.

It was pretty much dead in raids.

How is this not a direct buff? Wings doesn’t seem changed minus the fact that you’re guaranteed your first crit

Wings was 40% damage and healing. It’s reduced to 20% with 20% crit. Why is that hard to understand?

Like I said crit effectiveness is reduced in PvP so losing 20% flat damage is quite a bit. Will take some testing to determine if the 20% crit makes up for it.

Better still, is whether or not Crusade will continue to stack to 30% damage/haste and get the 20% crit. Cause if it does… get ready to die.

Odd, wowhead and wowdb show current avenging wrath as 20% damage, healing, and crit for ret. My bad.

No clue why they show the incorrect values on wowhead though. Perhaps it’s showing you a pre-legion / bfa value (pretty sure it used to be 20% prior to recent xpacs) or it’s already updated for the upcoming patch.

Na it’s on 8.0.1 values. Must just be incorrect

It was 35% in legion.

Yeah I just checked out both. Their already using the 8.1.5 values in the changelogs. Noticeable because the new versions do show the crit on them. Weird to change them before that patch is even close to release… jumped the gun hahah :joy:

As holy pally its 30% crit/healing/damage for 25 sec, seems like a nerf to wings to me.

So it seems like holy pally wings may be getting nerfed pretty hard.

I’ll have to log in and look today, I don’t remember crit being on wings during legion… maybe I missed when they slipped that in during BFA prepatch
