So will Classic have Sever Transfers? I don’t recall it being back in classic, but i recall it in BC.
I certainly hope not. Renaming and transferring characters did a lot to undermine the community’s ability to regulate itself.

Server transfers were a thing in Vanilla they will be in classic.
You want to just want to send a finger or maybe a hand or leg over to another realm? Might be good.
I, at least, would be interested in sending over parts of my Rouge.

True, but lets say you start on a sever with full pop at launch… but after a few weeks… sever dies." it will happen" to some. You can’t say it wont, that should be a open option for players i would think. Also is $ for blizz… soooo…
Server transfers were available in Vanilla, so they will most likely be in Classic. Considering how much time investment is required to level to 60, it will be a nice option for people who end up getting stuck on a dead server halfway through the content release schedule.
And for people who complain that ninja looters will take advantage of server transfers, who cares? They will be shelling out A LOT of $$$ just to ninja loot. First of all, most people won’t spend that kind of money and eventually they will run out of servers to transfer to, it’s not really a problem
I hope all character services never make it in. Server transfer, faction transfer, and name change are the worst offenders. Race change I’d rather not see. I could tolerate a basic re-customization such as a barber shop, though there’s no reason to add it beyond a cash-grab, so best to leave it out too.

I’ve also read that when the paid character transfer service was originally launched, there was a 6 month cool down. I think that’s a fair way to implement it and should prevent community disruption from too frequent server transfers.

I like the six month restriction, but it should also reset the character to level 1 and remove any items earned

Ty ty, wanted to verify been a few years… I have been thinking about what all I’m going to be doing with the wife, and this came to mind. 6 month CD would be fine. I think the name change should also be like that… but it’s not hard to keep track of A-holes, and other type of players now adays. I’m sure we will have a mod like black list or something when Classic comes out.
Only paid and free transfers were in Vanilla, no customization. Name change was by making your name taken where you were moving. And yes with a 6 month cool down.
