Is anyone aware of a setting or an addon that will mute or allow me to turn down the volume of the alert when there is a role check or when a queue has popped for me to enter an arena or battleground?
This sound is extremely loud / obnoxious relative to the volume of all other audio in game. I can be talking to someone on voice, but when alert sound plays I can’t hear anything else on my audio. I don’t want to disable one of the settings in the Audio options just for the sound I am referring to and then mute a ton of other audio that is unrelated to it.

Don’t think that can be done without replacing the audio or turning down sounds in general.

Turn off in-game sounds … problem solved cause if your talking in voice your not listening intently to in-game sounds

I specifically said without turning down other audio or muting in-game sound completely because I do listen intently to in-game sounds even when in voice.

How bout no. I hate the people who make the role check take 3 hours because they’re alt-tabbed and obviously have game sounds turned off.
It is very obnoxious when you are spam queueing arenas and there is a back to back alert (one for role check, one for enter arena due to near-instant queues) that is louder than everything else in the game. When I say louder I mean much louder than the audio already playing from in-game. I don’t mind the alert in itself, but since it is so obnoxiously loud, what I would really like is to be able to turn down the volume of just that alert, and if that’s not possible then to completely disable that alert without disabling other in-game audio.

Yea, I totally agree with this. It doesn’t need to be louder than everything else, and it drowns out voice chat completely.

So … i wouldn’t delete the file (makes it run through more lines of code) however i suppose you could take the file - open it in an audio program … lower the volume of it and resave it then it’s “fixed”? This said… i’ve tried finding ‘the file’ and yea… kinda fell asleep and a weird film was on my eyes.
