We couldve had Sethrak instead of Vulpera and it hurts me
I want to upgrade from a stubby idiot gnome to a badass snake with arms, not a midget furry
Sethrak is the best allied race idea ever its literally a walking snake

The Sethrak are cozy with their temple and gods but had small numbers and the reputation is linked to Vulpera.
Maybe with some rewiring and a revived Titan Keeper, the Refti could be possible. There are even a few variations on wowpedia and follow Tyr into Valdrakken.
edit: Honestly, I can’t see either one fitting with the factions.
We could’ve had Sethrak, Tuskarr, Ogres, and Broken but we ended up with whatever we ended up getting.
This truly is the worst timeline.
Um no.
Tuskarrs and Ogres shoupd be the next races. They shouldve been the new races a decade ago.
Yep. Dracthyr will forever occupy a spot on the list of races. Taking the place of an actual cool race that couldve gone in its place.
Worst timeline.
If I could clap my hands and magically add races to the game then these would be the top of my list in no particular order. And yes Sethrak is one of the better ones I’d like. At the very least the races that are part of the factions should be playable in my opinion.
Ogres(H) & Vrykul(A)
Hozen (H) & Furbolg (A)
Gilgoblins (H) & Ankoan/Jinyu (A)
Sethrak (H) & Broken/Krokul (A)
Mogu(H) & Saberon (A)
Saurok (H) & Arakkoa (A)
Taunka, forest trolls and frost dwarves as main race customization.
Well we know they have a decent relationship with the zandalari, since there are sethrak NPCs in Dazar’alor. And with the whole the Horde helping Sethraliss get back to life and then her attending Talanji’s coronation.
No, I like Vulpera.
Huh. I suppose they can work better with the horde if they stick around the trolls.
Granted, the destiny would’ve still landed on Vulpera or Gilgoblins concerning the allied race concept but perhaps Sethrak npcs can be seen around the horde.
If Sethrak took the place of Vulpera, I would actually play Horde.
More like sethrak over mechagnome. It was the perfect combo of 2 highly requested races.
Instead we got the least played race in the game aka mechagnome.
Man Mogu would be baller
Sure they’re just reskinned Draenei but the extreme egotism you could RP with one of those guys and be in character would be legendary
Refer to every other race as lesser beings
Mechagnome having zero armor for legs and arms shows we could have totally had naga
eh. thats a hard pass from me. as i like vulpera a ton more than the sethrak
I’m still convinced it was going to be Sethrak (A) and Vulpera (H) as opposing Allied Races before there was a direction change.
And instead we got diapered junkgnomes…
Storywise it would have made more sense to make the Sethrak a horde race. The Vulpera, opportunistic as they are, should be a neutral race the way the Pandaren are. But really, I would like to see a good chunk of races just not giving a damn about the Horde vs Alliance conflict and simply allow its citizens to do mercenary work for them as they please as long as they do not bring the war back home. In Legion both Horde and Alliance can do questing for the new races but then activating them as playable are locked one way or the another for rather flimsy reasons, it shouldn’t be.
I would switch these since Saberon are in the Barrens once the escaped with the Mag’har and Mogu feel like the Zandalari need to repay their debt to the former empire of Lei-Shen.
I agree with ogres but Vrykul hate their human offspring so much that they wanted to kill them all.
I want High Elves though. The OG High Elves of the Silver Covenant.
There are off course Vrykul that are fine with humans considering that it was sympathetic Vrykul that let humanity survive and help them do so in ancient times. Playable Vrykul would be problematic thou due to their size.
They have been dancing around this for years but when they added pandaren on both sides, any further argument against that died. Actually, I would have loved to see alliance high elves that really only differ from the bloodelves due to a cultural shift. That split could go straight through families. That split could have been explored.
