I’m experiencing a persistent issue where I can log into the Battle.net website just fine, but I cannot log into the Battle.net desktop app using my main account (Account ID: 387118162).
Key details:
The issue occurs on Windows, macOS, and mobile.
My alt Battle.net account logs in perfectly fine on all the same devices and networks.
I’ve tried:
Reinstalling the launcher
Clearing cache/configs
Using different networks (home, hotspot)
Resetting router
The issue is clearly not tied to the device or connection.
From the Battle.net logs, this is the exact error I’m seeing:
[BNSessions] {Main} |event=Session creation failure.|identity=account_id: 387118162 game_account { id: 550581252 title_id: 4288624 region: 1 } instance_id: “DCD8155C68373A2D-000000000000096D” region: 1|code=ERROR_INTERNAL (1)
Along with:
[UnifiedAuth] UAuth: tassadar Login URL is empty!
[LoginController] error=ERROR_INTERNAL (1)
This is clearly a server-side account/session issue, not a local problem.
Support has responded multiple times suggesting it’s a connection issue, but I’ve definitively ruled that out.
I am requesting:
A technical escalation to review the session state tied to my account.
If possible, a Community Manager or Support Specialist to escalate this internally to the platform/launcher team.

The battle.net website and the battle.net app will likely connect to Blizzard thru the internet using completely different ports, so the fact that you can login via a browser will not show that you don’t have a network issue, compared to the apps which are more likely to end up using the same IP/Ports to connect.
Specifically the battle.net app should connect via port 443 while the apps would be extremely unlikely to use that port and likely have dedicated ports.
But the fact that with the same device and network, I can successfully log into my alt bnet but not my main, that is the thing makes me believe its probably not network issues
You mentioned reseting your cache and config – was this a [reversible] full UI reset? I do see you mention both Windows and MacOS but if you’re me, we have those files all synchronised anyway.
The issue is with logging into Bnet account, and it’s account-specific. The logs I checked suggests that it might be a backend issue with the account id so that’s why. And for more clarification, the “clear cache” part was done by a game master in a ticket I submitted previously on their end.
A similar case is happening to another user:

He has been left for almost 1 month with no resolution provided to the bug that stuck him offline. Plz these niche bugs are ruining our accounts completely, which needs to be dealt with by technicians/engineers.
