Services channel always on even after I turn it off

Every time I log in, my character has the Services channel turned on. Then I turn it off. EVERY TIME I LOG INTO A CHARACTER, the services channel is back on so I have to turn it off again. And again. And again. What the hell is this crap?

I had the same issue and realized there is a little red circle to the right of the channel name and you need to DELETE the Services channel in order for it to stop reloading itself.

You need to do this on every single character.

Just /leave (channel #) and it disappears from your channel list completely.

I saw that and noticed it was kinda crossed out like it was not accessible, so I ignored it. lol that would have been so much easier.

It’s not just Services, EVERY channel in that tab (General, LocalDefense, Trade, Services, and Newcomer) all show whenever you log in. This probably is from Plunderstorm because those channels are hidden so it could be resetting their visibility.

Yeah I was encountering this earlier too. Thought it might be a prat issue but it seems like some stuff behind the scenes got broken by plunderstorm.

It will still pop up the next time you log in. I had that happen to me on my evoker multiple times

They need you to buy tokens for carries being sold in Services. Thus you have to see it.

Are you unchecking the boxes in the channel list? Or are you typing /leave (channel #)?

On the subject of chat channels, i find it really sad that new players are automatically put into the services channel, it sends the message to people that those types of services are the norm. Paying gold to be carried through content will never go away and i get that it’s kinda baked into the game these days, but it would be nice if new people could be insulated from it for just a little while
