I have a question for Blizzard and the General Forum.
If I purchase a Level 60 character boost, will that character be able to bypass the Shadowlands story in its entirety, and begin Dragonflight immediately?
Or are there certain parts of the story that need to be passed within Shadowlands before beginning Dragonflight.
Any sort of checkpoints, figuratively speaking.
I know we are still awaiting pre-patch phase 2, so this may be a tough question to answer before late November; hence, I will appreciate anyone’s answers on this.
Yes, as you’ll get a quest wherever you are to go to Dragon Isles when DF launches when you’re lvl 60. Not sure if it works for lvl 58s.
Oh okay that’s what I was hoping to hear.
Thank you Anadisong!

Just to add on since you didn’t get a lot of replies. There hasn’t been an expansion that required a previous expansions storyfor access. You won’t have to set foot in Shadowlands.
You don’t need to boost either. If you start a new character soon™ (either when drakthyr show up in 2 weeks, or at Dragonflight launch, not sure which) you’ll be able to go from 1-60 in any expansion you want and then schlep right into Dragonflight.
Appreciate it ^^
Awesome, that’s a relief to me because I would rather not have to go back into the story if you know what I mean.
I should ask this for clarity as well:
Would a new player be able to purchase Dragonflight without purchasing Shadowlands, so long as they were able to boost their character?
You get 60 and pretty much appear in Oribos and ready for latest patch. Shadowlands introduction quest is now skippable however.
I don’t think the level boost super worth it. I won’t tell you how to spend your money, the commodity is offered and people buy it for whatever reason. But the leveling up is super quick as of right now with the 50% boost and there’s still time before the a month before Dragonflight release. We’re nearing the season with a bunch of games releasing that is price of a boost. Up to you tho!
Be aware the level 146 gear your boosted character will start with wont allow you to do level 60 Shadowlands content, doubtful on starter Dragonflight content.
Nevermind Fortuna already answered that for me lol
