Servers with queues are NOT FULL

Been waiting 2+ hours to get on Grobbulus, at #700 something

My friend says dun morogh is pretty much empty in the starting area

My guildies said the human area is pretty quiet too.

Why on earth aren’t they letting more people in?

maybe your realm is horde dominated?

If you check the realm status page every realm is actually only Medium. They seem to be throttling to spread players out.

Because Blizzard is getting scared that retail is gonna flop they make alot of money selling gold on retail they cant let us all go play classic all at once.

There is a max number of people that can be logged into the server. It doesn’t matter what your friend sees because most of the players are in a different layer than them.

I’m in Q for Grobbulus too. It’s not moving at all and I’m up around 7000. Horde FYI

what? retail or classic they have your sub money either way…? 1/10

Grobbulus multiple census data show close to 50/50 ratio. Even if it’s not accurate it wouldn’t be off by that much

What’s it to Blizzard if we all play Retail or classic? They still get their monthly subs.

The login servers are overwhelmed.

if layers continue past lvl 10 im going to rage layers is one of the reasons i uninstalled wow 2.5 years ago and never went back

I am heading to work, before I gave up on Brobbulus the que was 12k+ with a < 1 minute timer on it. O.o

Yea I expected ques on Herod and Possibly Stalagg but this is insane. Every single server has a huge que.

So you want to compete with 12,000 players for the same rare mob?

This is pretty frustrating they are throttling. I’ve already had friends leave to different servers and now we aren’t able to play together because some people are in while others aren’t. If they having layering why not just add a few more layers for the first few days and not throttle the cap to medium? Results ingame would be the same.

Layering probably has some people on different empty layers.

The servers aren’t a single machine. Every zone is a machine or a VM or some logical process. If you max a realm population in a single zone, you’re slamming a single server. So the queue is spreading people out in time to allow a transition to other “zone servers” on the same realm. It’ll smooth out in time.
