Is there such thing as a realm/server that runs raids in the way that they did back when i played WotLK back in 2010? Just a normal raid where they found people in the trade chat that didn’t have to buy their way in via GDKP?
I’m currently on Faerlina and seems that’s really all there is anymore. I wasn’t sure if this was solely a mega server thing, or if all of them were this way now a days.
Idk I play on mankrik and there are a lot of GDKPs but you can also easily find a non-GDKP group. Also if you want to make your own group it should be pretty easy at least for 10-mans
I’ve been throwing the idea of rolling another toon on a different realm, just to see and try to avoid the GDKP’s. Its one of those things that seems you have to have money to even get in, and then once you’re in, sure it’ fine because you’ll make money. This just wasn’t what I was used to. Maybe they were going on in 2010 also, but on Deathwing they really weren’t a thing at all
You won’t find a realm that is free of GDKP, it’s a pretty popular way of raiding, although I’m not a fan. I’m sure you could find a normal group on your server tho. Mankrik chat is constantly spammed with GDKP as well, it’s by far the majority of group posts I see, but I never have trouble finding a regular group
You will in Classic Era. Retail progression realms of tbc/wrath are entirely consumed by that cancer.
On my era cluster there are multiple GDKP every week lmfao so no, not completely free of it there either
And on mine they have been purged. We crafted our first level 60 warrior his LHH last night, raided aq20, and had a ball progressing with our small community.

Have you tried joining the GDKP discord server(s)? You’ll find that there are also organized MS>OS or SR raids in addition to GDKP raids. You can even run your own!
Windseeker has normal pugs. General MS>OS applies. I don’t see a lot of GDKP runs.
