Technically no, because they aren’t making lock decisions based on a single sub.
However, I support the OPs request to remove locks and come up with a better way to balance server pops.

People on locked servers need the lock as the queues have been making the game unplayable. Would it really be fair to the players who have been playing on those servers for 10 months for Blizzard to allow the situation to get worse just because you now you decide you want to play with your friends?

Don’t you understand that Blizzard raking in millions in gold farmer hacker payola to look the other way at all the hundreds of thousands of bots infesting every server (and causing queues and lag on many of them) is ever so much more important than you are?
It must be many, many millions of dollars, too, enough to make every stolen credit card chargeback used by every gold farmer account worth absorbing!
Amazingly, EVERYONE in this forum seems to have “friends” on the locked server, yet THEY are not on that server. No explanation why. Why do you play on a different server than all your friends? But they do. There’s a new thread about this every single day.
Of course these so-called “friends” won’t move to YOUR server. You have to move to the locked server. Of course.
It’s truly amazing. It’s hard to believe, in fact…

Same! I have a 39 shaman stuck on Heartseeker, waiting to transfer it to Sulfuras. In the meantime i’m leveling a mage on Sulfuras that already caught up to the shaman in 1/10th of the time… damn mages are OP. i love it.
But I still want my healer… eventually.

Unlock these servers so I can bring my farming alt mule back please. So much easier to get the good stuff without competition and I’m out of bag space. Thx
I been waiting since Feb to transfer my alts to my mains server so I can finally play them with my friends and guild members… I wouldn’t even be changing the population of the server either because I play my main exclusively now due to not being able to play my alts with friends. Especially when my alts server only has like 40-60 people on my faction at peak times
