My server is full but there’s no where to go!
I’m very concerned. Blizzard wants people to move but if you’re not into PvP or RP PvP there’s just nowhere to go to.
Blizzard just one non PVP server for Pacific SIMPLY will not do to fix the massive congestion issue you have.
So MORE servers please!

Westfall and Old Blanchy are coming, but I feel like they need 2 more. I would be willing to bet we’ll see another east and west PVE a couple days after launch. They surely want to wait and see if queues maintain length or start to die down. Even if the diedown isn’t as bad as they’re predicting, it’s assured that there will be a certain level of tourist players that won’t play past week 1 and will go back to retail.

Everywhere is full. I’m expected several hour queue times. Also, I REALLY don’t want to play on Old Blanchy what a terrible name for a server!
beggars can’t be choosers as they say
I shouldn’t have to be a beggar. I planned ahead chose the server I wanted and the characters I wanted to play. I’ve no problem with moving but adding the servers on launch day and with only one choice? That’s a terrible idea. We need more servers and we need them now.

you have 5 hours before launch.
your in the same boat as all of us, make due
That is distinctly not helpful.
Why do you care so much about a server name?

Actually it’s probably stupid reasoning… but Old Blanchy is an awful choice. It sounds like the name of a cow. Giving up Atiesh for Old Blanchy is just distasteful. There’s also the lack of choice, I would prefer to have another non PVP server to chose from.
But its a horse! What’s not to love?
Well, I’d play on Bigglesworth just for name because, yknow, cat!

This Blizzard. 9 full servers, 2 high, 3 medium (but RP don’t count). 2 more servers is NOT going to cut it on launch. Do you realize how many people are waiting to resub on launch day? Every server will be Full by actual launch time, including the 2 new ones. You need like 6 or 7 more.

Blizzard needs to be careful about how many servers they create and I think they know that; this isn’t their first rodeo. When launch day hits, I wouldn’t be surprised if 5 million are playing. But three months later? We’re probably looking at between 500,000 and 1 million. Blizzard is right to want to think ahead about what the server population will be after the initial rush dies down.

It’s not too hard to offer people free server transfers to move from an empty server in 3-6 months.
I knew it was a quest mob of some kind! Been awhile since I quested, thanks for the info.
Still I just would like to see more non pvp servers.
While I enjoy low level pvp BG’s on my twink; world pvp I really dislike.
I have a good feeling about the server situation.
People will come n go. Less servers is better. They will open more dictated only by one statistic- retention of new players. If they observe similar trends to how classic subs grew, such as the game becoming more popular, they will continue to open x amount of servers to accommodate x amount of players in a non layered realm.
The truth of the matter is that the servers can hold more than 10k players online simultaneously. Once the classic relaunch dust is settled, that number is looking really nice when you think about having about 20 servers that have prime times of 10k+ online daily. My point is, over population isn’t scary as it sounds. Server technology can handle it. Realm economy and atmosphere can handle it, in fact thrives with these large populations.
We good. Trust.
The server I play in retail is very deserted. I’m excited to be on a higher pop realm for a change . What doesn’t thrill me is excessively long queue times.
Which by the state of things is going to be a major issue.
Sounds like a great place to get a root beer float. I’m going!
I wouldn’t be too worried about queue time since you aren’t on Herod, Faerlina, or Whitemane.
