Hope something is done about this the lag is insane inside of epic bgs… huge difference from dragonflight
Logged in to add that there’s also huge lag in essentially empty zones. I went to Redridge Mountains to work on Loremaster and the lag there is consistently atrocious. 7-8 seconds just to loot a mob, 5-6 to turn in a quest, press Blink and it doesn’t go off for an extra second.
Infrastructure needs to be a massive priority for Blizzard right now. There’s no reason why anyone should be struggling to loot and finish quests in a 20 year old zone.
To the top, not letting this die
When I returned to wow after skipping two expansions, well three really I had lots of lag issues in The War Within. I did a lot of housekeeping, removing addons, cleaning up my install and killing all extraneous programs running on my PC as well as updating all my drivers and Windows itself. That seemed to fix the problem and I was happy. Until the first big patch came and the lag started creeping back. It wasn’t too terrible so I just lived with it. After this last Tuesday though it’s downright intolerable. Performing all the same tasks as before to fix it has NOT fixed anything at all this time. It’s still next to unplayable. I thought it was only me until I started mentioning it to other players in game and after confirming it was happening to many of us came here to the forums to check the temperature of the player base at large. I’m glad to see that it’s being complained about in here, makes me hope that it will resolve itself at some point. I hope.
After a lot of reading my understanding is that a VPN will fix these issues if configured right. For example picking another country. I do not have funds to test this but if anyone has a VPN and these issues please feel free to let us know your results.
I can’t do any instances with my friends as i keep disconnecting but i’m not lagging out in discord or anywhere else only wow tonight.
I am having very bad lag today. I’m not sure what’s causing it. I thought it might be my internet so I reset my DNS settings and restarted my battle.net mulitple times. I can’t connect to the game at all now.
Everything else is running fine. I tried connecting to classic too because I was playing it earlier today but now I can’t connect to that either.
Please fix these issues blizzard. This is unnacceptable. It’s been going on for months in retail.
Unplayable for about 1/4 of our raid tonight in Nerub-ar…looking like we’ll just abandon it at this point. Something funky going on!
yup same here
at this point in time , with the buggy af dungeons that still havent been fixed and the raid having lag issues and nothing been done - blizzard can go F*** themselves , we pay $20 a month sub - the game needs to be better . but hey lets just forget about everything cus they gave us all a new AH mount ,
its obviously a raid issue - as outside of raid im fine , was running dungeons b4 raid and they were fine , and go to raid and im freezing for 5 seconds
It’s not just raids (though it sounds like they have their issues too). Same thing happens regularly now in levelling/questing.
Sitting here 500 ms in world, but don’t worry, its your computer, it isn’t the game, the game rides unicorns.
my ms is still from 300-3k…
630 ms in World right now, 70 ms in home.
This is a huge issue on moonguard server. especially at goldshire, orgrimmar, and stormwind city. When will blizzard comment on this? When will blizzard fix it?
Don’t hold your breath - but keep this topic up top!
C’mon Blizz, the people would like a blue post! We’ll even take a slide show since that’s how EBGs already look anyways…
Keeping it up top!
Just read thru this topic, its indeed becoming more widespread. Was happening to a guildmate a month ago, started happening to me about 1 week ago. Mostly happens when joining groups and zoning into instances/taking portals for me.
log in today and was at 532home and 2400world. got to be kidding me. was not having any problems till today
